Okay all you readers, this is where I babble about the story and have I got babble for you. This is an oddly formed story in which you are about to find out why I say this. This story can, but is not limited to, be considered a Voyager story. However, it is written in a way that can be applied to another genre or even real life if you wish to do so. It's your imagination, you have free reign here. Also this story has no specific pairing, so again it can be applied to a variety of genres. For instance, this story could be a T/7/J or a J/7/Kes, or perhaps a T/7/X :) You as the reader are only limited to the three characters being all females. Down below, I give a possible summary for this story. I just added a bit of background for those who wish to view this as a Voyager story, because quite frankly, Voyager is the genre I write for so it gets special attention. But mind you, this doesn't have to be a Voyager story, you can skip over the possible summary. Okay, I think I explained the story as much as I could, so now I just want to say, I hope you enjoy it. It was a booming party. Friends from across the quadrant had gathered in this one place to unite and reunite. And boy, were they having a blast. It was early evening and the party had already been in swing for hours. The guests rented out a large hall so that they could meet together. Each woman liked what they saw in the other, finding many similarities and common interests as a tentative bond began to form, a connection between the two women that was hard to describe but obviously brought them closer together.
April was slightly shier then Kayla was, not being very outgoing at all, but she found herself feeling comfortable around Kayla. Kayla, though shy and nervous, gave off an air of calm, taking things in stride, which also helped to relax those around her. "After all," she reasoned. "This is a party."
Kayla and April spent most of the day chatting at one of the tables, getting to know one another, as well as getting to know Reece. Reece was another woman, invited to the party, but had other ulterior motives for coming. The sights. Reece came to see the city, she had always wanted to make a trip here, tour the town, but the meeting was the icing on the cake. Not really here to meet friends, Reece found herself sitting alone at the same table as Kayla and April. The party continued on into mid-evening hours with no signs of stopping, in fact, the music changed tempo in response to the party kicking up heat. "You don't have to dance, love. Just stand there for me."
And with that declaration, Kayla slowly began to dance around April. Moving her body seductively slow, seeming out of sync with the music playing, yet the quick beats somehow added an air of sensuality to the movements. With the music playing in the background, the fast rhythm seemed to make Kayla look as if she was moving in slow motion. Hips swaying sensually, her upper body moving in what looks like waves, hands gliding over the body in front of her yet never actually touching.
April found herself mesmerized by the woman in front of her and the music filling her ears. She didn't even realize when she too began to sway gently with the music, following the lead Kayla set.
