Chapter 4

Chapter 3

Again time seemed to pass by without any notice. Trade negotiation were conducted, eneies were dealt with, and repais were taken care of. Seven had done her research and the verdict was in. She was indeed in love with B'Elanna Torres. Seven knew this just as sure as she knew her heart was still beating. Finally realizing what the feelings actually were, Seven realized that she had been in love with the Lt. for a while now. The only problem was, was that she was now left with more questions than answers. Did Lanna feel the same? Would she even want a relationship with an ex-borg if she did? And how was she suppose to approach the half-Klingon now? Little did Seven know that B'Elanna was going through some of the same things. Just as Naomi had had her chat with Seven, Lanna got her chat from Harry Kim. Harry had pointed out that her feelings for the ex-drone went deeper than just friendship and that it was possibly that B'Elanna had fallen in love with her right after she had fallen out of love with Tom. Looking deep within herself, Lanna was forced to admit that both Tom and Harry were right. There was no more denying it, she was in love with Seven. But would Seven return her feelings? Was Seven even ready for love? How was she suppose to go about starting up a relationship with an ex-borg? These were just some of the concerns that plagued the mind of B'Elanna Torres. But things had a way working themseves out in due time.

After everything Voyager had been through in the past few weeks, the captain decided to have a small celebration, rewarding her crew for a job well done. The party was to be held in the messhall where food and drink was abundant. Of course, the captain had 'encouraged' her senior staff to attend and dress appropriately for the occasion. Everyone except for a select few had arrived at the party on time. Seven was standing next to the captain in a small group made up of Neelix, Sam Wildman, and Chakotay as well as the captain. Seven wore a simple silk spagetti strap dress that slid down her body ending just above the knees. It could only be described as the color of ice, an ice blue that came very close to matching the color of the blond's eyes. With a matching pair of high heeled pumps, Seven actually seemed to be relaxed and enjoying her time at a social function. She was able to join in on the conversations and trade jokes in which had everyone laughing. Unlike all of the previous events she had attended, Seven seemed at ease, that is until a certain engineer entered the room. Lanna was standing in the doorway still dressed in her uniform when she caught and locked gazes with Seven. The ex-done could have sworn she saw her desire, love, and fear reflected in those big brown eyes but, the Lt. broke eye contact before she could be sure. Seven watched as Torres turned and literally ran from the messhall.

"Excuse me, Captain." Seven said rght before she took off after the love of her life.

Thanks to some really long legs, the ex-drone was able to eat up the distance seperating her and Lanna. Seven finally managed to catch up to her in the turbolift just as the doors slid shut.

"B'Elanna, why did you run away?" Seven asked coming to stand very close to the smaller woman.

"I... I was afraid." Lanna said as she studied the carpet unable to lie to the woman who had captured both of her hearts.

"Afraid of what?" Came the whispered purr.

"Afraid I might do this." The Klingon said as passion and desire rushed through her caused by hearing Seven's whispered purr.

B'Elanna pushed Seven back into the wall of the turbolift standing so close to her that not even air could pass between the two women. Breathing heavily Lanna looked into ice blue eyes, hesitating only momentarily before she leaned in and tasted the sweetness that could only be found on the blond's lips. Pent up passions and desires found their release as each woman tried to devour the other's lips. B'Elanna peaked her tongue out and lightly licked the swollen lips of the woman before her. Seven allowed her lips to be parted and moaned as she felt Lanna's tongue touch her's. The turbolift jerked to a stop annoncing that it had arrived at it's destination. But neither woman could care less. Without breaking contact, Seven managed to guide the engineer down the corridor. It wasn't until Lanna's back hit a wall that she realized they had even moved from the turbolift. Breaking the kiss, the Klingon turned her head and saw that they were stopped right infront of her quarters. Blindly she reached for the door lock to try and punch in her code while resuming her kissing with Seven. After the third try, Seven reached over and helped to guide Lanna's fingers while they punched in the code.

Both women came to a stop in the middle of the engineer's quarters. Both held onto the other while panting for air unwilling to lose contact with the other woman. Both knew they wanted more to happen that night but both were unsure if it was the right thing for the other.

"God's Seven. That was... that was unbelievable. I would love it if we could continue this but I think we both need to cool down a little before things get out of hand." Lanna said as she tried to reign in her passion. She didn't want to rush Seven into anything that she wasn't ready for. True she may be ready for the physical aspect of making love but was she ready for the emotional aspect.

"I love you, B'Elanna Torres." Seven said simply as she cupped the Klingon's face in her hands.

"And I love you, Seven of Nine." Lanna managed to choke out before the ex-drone leaned in to kiss her again.

In that instance all of their fears, doubts, and worries evaporated in the face of the truth that shone in each woman's eyes.

"Stay with me tonight?" The engineer asked when they broke the kiss.

Seven coudonly nod her head yes as her hands began to trail down the muscular body standing in front of her. Lanna was still in her unifrom, not having time to change out of it before the party started, and this ex-drone felt that she was too overdressed. Slowly one human hand and one mesh covered hand made their wa to the top of the uniform jacket. That same jacket found it's way to the floor as it was slipped from the strong shoulders that held it up. Ice blue eyes met dark brown eyes seeking permisson to continue. When Seven met with no resistance she brought her hands down to the bottom of the black tank top worn under the jacket. Slowly, Seven pulled the top up over her head when the engineer raised her arms to aid in the process. Torres now stood only in a black lace bra and a pair of black trousers. Seven took in the lucious body that stood before her and could not help herself as she leaned in to kiss some of the newly exposed skin. Raindrop kisses were placed on each shoulder, each side of her colar bone, workng their way up the neck. B'Elanna couldn't help the moan that escaped her lips. She was in pure heaven. Never had she felt so turned on, this passionate, or this in love with any of her previous lovers. Seven continued on her mission to breach the barriors of clothes that sepeate her rom her love. She slowly bent down until she was sitting on her knees looking up into the face of perfection. The blnd the reached for the top of the trousers and began to slide them down the carmel colored legs. When she reached the bottom, Lanna lifted one leg then the other and Seven was able to remove the pants as well as boots and socks in one swift motion. Those items of clothing met the se fate as those that came before them, thrown into a corner. There standing before her were well defined legs that were begging to be touched and touched they were. Seven lightly grazed the skin with her finger tips leaving goosebumps in her wake as she slowly stood up.

But Lanna wasn't going to let the ex-drone have all the fun. As soon as the statuesque woman reached her full hight, the engineer took two fingers and slid them under the thin straps on top of Seven's shoulders. Ever so slowly and gently the straps were pushed off of the creme colored shoulders and the dress was allowed to glide down the borg's body pooling on the floor. A gasp escaped the Klingon's lips as she realized that the dress was the only thing Seven had on. Rendered speechless by the beautiful sight befre her, Lanna could only stare at true perfection. But the ex-drone began t feel uncomfortable fearing that the Lt. might be repulsed by the scars and borg technology that littered her otherwise flawless body. Those fears were suddenly washed away with the next three words spoken.

"You are incredible."

"You are not replused by my borg enhancements?"

"No, not at all. They're apart of you, apart of who you are and only serve to enhance your beauty. That borg queen must be blind becuase I have perfection standing right in front of me."

Seven smiled an oh so sexy smile and then stepped out of her dress only to take B'Elanna in her arms and carry her off into the bedroom.

"I love you, Seven." Lanna whispered.

"And I love you." Seven reconfirmed.

Chapter 4

Kathryn Janeway left the party shortly after Seven went chasing after Torres. Janeway was no fool. She saw the looks that her cheif engineer and astrometrics officer gave each other. She knew what was going to happen tonight. In fact if she were totally honest with herself she saw this coming for some time now. She was happy for both women, grateful that they had finally found each other but still that didn't stop the hurt she felt. Regardless if she felt hurt because she was afraid of losing a friend or if she felt hurt becuase her feelings for a certain ex-drone went farther than they should it didn't matter. The two women were already together. Janeway refused to sort out why she felt so hurt and just decided to try and be as happy for the two love birds as possible. Seven had finally grown up and Janeway wondered exactly when she had missed it. And so Kathryn Janeway went to bed early that night with a heavy heart wondering just how she was suppose to deal with this new turn of events.

"Chakotay to Captain Janeway. Please respond."

Kathryn was roused out of a troubled sleep feeling like she had just fallen asleep even though that was a few hours ago. She fumbled around on her night stand looking for her communicator and when she found it responded back.

"Janeway here. Go ahead."

"Captain I'm sorry to disturb you this early in the morning but I thought you might want to come to the bridge. We have some.... visitors who are anxious to speak with you."

"I'm on my way. Janeway out."

Dragging herself out of bed, Kathryn dressed in her uniform wondering exactly when a captain's duty doesn't call.

Arriving on the bridge 15 mintes later, Janeway's stomach suddenly dropped. There was a dull greenish glow that suffused the entire brdge.

"Ah, Captain Janeway. I must apologize for calling on you so early in the morning. I forgot you really aren't a morning person." Sarcasm dripped from the larger than life image of the borg queen displayed on the viewscreen.

"Report." Janeway barked as she came to stand in front of her command chair.

"We have four borg scout vessels surrounding us and two borg cubes sitting a distance away. They just dropped out of a borg transwarp conduit about thirty minutes ago and have been sitting here waiting ever since. And to top that all off the queen seems to been on one of the scout vessels. She actually hailed us herself requesting to speak with you. No threats of assimilation, no charging of weapons, no nothing. I don't get it." Chakotay gave the report in hushed tones not wanting the queen to hear what was being said. Janeway then turned back to the viewscreen.

"So, what can we do for you today?"

"You can drop your shields."

"What?! You know I can't do that."

"You can and you will. Either you drop your shields voluntarily or we destroy them for you possibly further damaging your ship. It is your choice. If it helps, I promise you will not be assimilated." And with that the viewscreen went black.

"We won't be assimilated?" The first officer repeated in disbelieving tones.

"Captain?" The commander called out after a few moments of silence.

"Tuvok, lower the shields." She ordered of the security officer stationed at tacticle after commanding the gamma shift.

"What?! You can't do that Captain." Chakotay nearly yelled.

"That's an order, Tuvok. We have no other choice. Drop the shields."

Tuvok momentarily hesitated and then nodded his head as he lowered the shields. A collective breath was taken on the bridge.

"Captain, two drone have beamed aboard. They are located in Lt. Torres's quarters. They are now... gone, Captain. The borg vessels are departing and heading back towards borg space." Tuvok said with as much surprise as a vulcan can feel.

"Captain?" Chakotay asked completely stunned by the turn of events.

"Computer, locate Seven of Nine." Janeway asked.

"Seven of Nine is no longer aboard Voyager." Intoned the cold computer voice confirming what Janeway had already suspected.
