38) What is one to believe
when one Protestant says infants should be baptized (e.g., Luther and Calvin)
and another says it is wrong and unbiblical (e.g., Baptists and Evangelicals)?
One chooses according to what they perceive is more right according to
scripture.
Sola scriptura says scripture is the final authority, but it must be explicit
for it to become a rule of the faith. Therefore, in areas where good men can
arrive at different conclusions, Bible Christians agree to disagree agreeably.
We do what is right according to our conscience, according to what we perceive
scripture says, knowing this is not something that affects salvation or one's
place in the body of Christ.
