An easy way to make your own photo frames

Open your picture you want to frame in PSP

1st set the colour you want to use for your border from the colour palette on the right side of PSP

The one you want is the background solid colour at the very top right of the palette

Go to top menu bar and chose Image - Add borders

In the window that comes up make sure symmetric is ticked

and put a number in the boxes I usually use 10 and click ok and there you have your plain border

You can now do many changes to this if you want

To change the colour of border get the Magic Wand tool from the left hand tool bar

and click on your red border so you have marching ants around it

select another colour from the colour palette or gradient or texture

then get the flood fill tool from the left hand tool menu and click inside the marching ants to change it.

Experiment remember every time you can undo with CTRL + Z and try a different colour

To save your image go to top menu - file - export - jpeg optimiser (I usually have  set compression value to about 40 as this makes the pic faster loading if you were to put on a webpage) If the pic quality does not look too good reduce this a bit. Try different values see how it affects your pic. The knack is to make it as small a file size as possible without losing the quality.

Click OK - name your pic and save it in the folder of your choice

You can also try out any of the effects from the top menu on the frame, maybe  this 3D effect outer bevel

there loads of combinations just play around and have fun!!!!!
