Reverse Gears
The Gear on the far left is out of a Type 2 "3-rib"
Bus transmision. There are 2 different ones of these. One has 2 lines and
the other has none, and MUST be replaced accordingly unless you also change
the big gear that it runs on.
The 2 gears in the middle are out of the later
model swingaxles and IRS type 1 until 1973, again, note the lines.
The gear on the far right is out of the 1973 and up type 1 trannies
AND is the same gear used in the "5-rib" type 2 Buss trannies form 1973-1974.
The "6-rib" 1975 Bus trans uses the same gear BUT it has finer splines
on the inside therefore cannot be switched.
