By: ChartAttack.com Staff The time to politely remain non-partisan is over. With the U.S. Presidential Election only a week away and the two candidates neck and neck in the polls, it's time to take off the gloves. Since George W. Bush went as far to say that he found the prospect of John Kerry winning the election unfathomable in a recent debate, it's up to Kerry to recruit the celebrities and inch his way up in the polls. Bruce Springsteen, who's already toured to raise voter awareness, is taking the extreme step of actually joining John Kerry at his campaign stops. Springsteen will say a few words and play a couple songs at Kerry appearances in Ohio and Wisconsin this week. The Foo Fighters will also play the Wisconsin rally. Springsteen has also agreed to join Kerry in Cleveland for one last push on November 1, a.k.a. election eve. Other celebs are expected to show up at that final rally, but a full guest list has yet to be announced. For more information on how to attend Springsteen's performances, check out the John Kerry website . Springsteen's New Jersey neighbour, Jon Bon Jovi, has also been hitting the trail with Kerry. Bon Jovi played a couple of tracks at Kerry rallies in Michigan and Wisconsin yesterday (October 25), jumping on stage at a rally in Green Bay, WI and yelping "Surprise!" Bon Jovi will hook up with the campaign again later this week in Massachusetts. From: chartattack.com http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2004/10/2607.cfm Tuesday, October 26, 2004. Quick Hits: Bon Jovi October 26, 2004 Not only is the Bon Jovi box set coming out on November 16, but the band expects to have a new album ready in the spring. Jon Bon Jovi reportedly told Billboard that it will be a "loud guitar, big Rock record." He also said the songs reflect "personal and introspective views on issues I may have had growing up that I certainly would have never discussed publicly before. I've always kept this 'chin up, glass is half-full' kind of optimism, and [now] I showed some chinks in the armor." The band plans to launch a tour in late spring.
