Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know the Philly show was in one word - AWESOME!!!  They played "Diamond Ring", which made my night.   One of the best parts was when Jon forgot some of the words to "Bed of Roses".  He goes "I forget the words.  Damn and I wrote the song!"  After he finished, he said "How embarassing!  Most of you saw us many times and know that we hardly ever forget the words.  Oh well, you've got to have some fun up here!"  What a night!!!  They're playing Veteran's Stadium (in Philadelphia) on July 24th.  I can't wait!!! lynn

BON JOVI: UPDATE
To all of you in the Northeast, we hope you're home, safe and warm amidst the blizzard. And we hope you're checking this site for news, 'cause we've got some. On Thursday, FEBRUARY 13th, BON JOVI performed in ATLANTA. Prior to the show, Jon and Richie were interviewed by CNN (their based in Atlanta) - while we don't have specifics on when that footage might air, we ask that you keep your eyes open and should be given advance notice, we'll pass it along to you. Also on Thursday in Atlanta, the local radio station STAR-FM hosted a SOUNCHECK PARTY, allowing radio winners to attend Bon Jovi Soundcheck at the Phillips Arena. The band used that Soundcheck Party to help surprise someone... this is where the CBS EARLY SHOW crew comes into the story. A serviceman stationed in Kosovo wrote to the EARLY SHOW and wanted to take part in their WEEK OF WISHES (they fulfill wishes for people and for 2003, it's all for military folks.) The serviceman wrote about his wife, how wonderful she was, how much she missed him and how big of a Bon Jovi fan she is. So big that the serviceman got online in Kosovo and was able to buy tickets online to the Bon JOvi show in Atlanta (even though they lived in the Carolinas) so that his wife could drive down to Atlanta to see the show. Some behind the scenes planning and scheming enabled the Early Show to contact the wife and tell her that they were doing a piece on military wives and how difficult it is to be apart... and that they'd follow her at the Atlanta show. What the wife did NOT know what that Jon and the band were in on it. You'll need to tune into CBS EARLY SHOW to find out more... given the blizzard, we haven't been able to find out when this week the piece will air so we HIGHLY sugg
est keeping the VCR set for tomorrow morning in the event it does air tomorrow (and if it doesn't we'll hopefully have a specific airdate to post for you later in the day tomorrow.) It was a really WONDERFUL surprise and we hope you enjoy the footage! (*psssttt.... keep your eyes/ears open for another US tourdate to be announced this week!)

BON JOVI : THE MORNING AFTER A GREAT F&$%#N' NIGHT FOR ROCK 'N' ROLL!!!

Bear with us as we sip from our very strong coffee to recap for you an AMAZING day in BON JOVI's career. Thursday, September 5th started out very, very early with JON BON JOVI and RICHIE SAMBORA's appearance on THE TODAY SHOW where they were interviewed by Katie Couric. From there, JON headed down to the financial district and rang the opening bell at the NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE. There were few hours midday for the guys to relax before they headed to the Marriott Marquis in NYC where they did interviews with a couple dozen radio stations who had come into town to broadcast for the event, and then did a 20 minute press conference. Then it was over to their dressings rooms to gear up. At 5:10, BON JOVI performed "IT'S MY LIFE" and then headed back to the dressing room until it was time to take the stage for the big performance. At 6:35 the band made their way to the stage and belted out "WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE" and "WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE" to wrap up the coverage that CBS was capturing (check out the one-hour primetime special that aires tonight, Sept. 6 at10pm ET on CBS as it will include those first 3 Bon Jovi songs...) Then, from 7-8pm, it was ALL Bon Jovi. Here's what they played: LIVIN' ON A PRAYER, YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, BORN TO BE MY BABY, JUST OLDER, EVERYDAY, UNDIVIDED, BOUNCE, I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD, BAD MEDICINE and SHOUT. Then NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg spoke to the crowd before BON JOVI finished the evening in the perfect note: They did a beautiful rendition of AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL as members of the NYPD and FDNY unfurled a gigantic American flag across Times Square. And then, it was off!!! The band rand off the stage into waiting vehicles and with a full police escort the dozen or so cars raced to the heliport. Then, the band flew from NYC via helicopter over to the landing pads at Giants Stadium and rushed into the lockerrooms set aside for them there.... they watched the NY Giants game from that vantage point, waiting for halftime. When halftime came, the band made their way to their stage in the endzone and were introduced by ESPN's Chris Berman: Football fans and Giants Stadium, New Jersey's Finest: BON JOVI!! The band performed EVERYDAY and took in yet another momentuous occassion at Giants Stadium for Bon Jovi before heading back to the dressing room. There was a meet & greet with contest winners from all over the world and then... they hit NYC to have some fun because they EARNED it. And now... they're heading to London. September 5th was all they had hoped it would be and more... (now if the Giants had only won!) Some things you maybe didn't know: Steve Young visited the band at their Giants Stadium dressing room. Richie Sambora caught up backstage with 'N Sync Member/RENT star Joey Fatone (Richie did a cameo in their movie, On The Line.) As a surprise, when Jon and Richie arrived at Giants Stadium, former New York Giants head coach and legend Bill Parcells was waiting to greet them. Access Hollywood had a crew at the heliport to interview Jon and Richie and capture the entire travelling party's helicopter departures to Giants Stadium (that will air TODAY so check your local listings for Access Hollywood.) Estimated number of people in Times Square? 500,000.
