Starts by showing the scene where Dennis punches Sharon in the Vic.
R: That is a great scene. All I can say ishi Letitia
L: Hi
R: all I can say is that Sharon must have some weird magical touch because there is 2 big strong bouncersrightholding Dennis back, you go up and touch him gently on the back and with one bound hes free!
L: Absolutely.
J: Mind you, I mean he could have come to you instead of standing there looking bemused.
R: Yeah but, but, but
L: I think he was in shock, wasnt he, really. As indeed she was.
R: Yeah, he didnt mean to cause he hit her in a blind rage and before that Den had been winding him up something rotten. I mean really! Saying I dont love you
L: Yeah he wound him up like a coiled spring, didnt he. And suddenly he didnt know who was behind him and he just lashed out andSharon got it in the mouche.
J: Did you seecould you understand why everybody in Albert Square - well almost everyone, Dots on your side - but everyone in Albert Square is so anti this relationship because youre not related!
L: No-
J: You werent brought up together, were you?
L: No, absolutely. I think what it is is that they were used to seeing them as brother and sister I thinkso I think that was the shock value really.
J: Yeah.
L: Also, I think theyve got nothing better in their lives to worry about! *laughs*
R: Yeah, I think theyre more shocked than disapproving. Its Dens complex reaction I love. And isnt it great havingits like when you came backwhen you came backyou were going for about 5 years, werent you?
L: Yeah. For about that, yeah.
R: and it was good, yeah, thumbs up, we can all relax a bit now and now hes back!
L: Oh its great for me having Leslie back. Im sure hes been on this show a few times.
J: Oh yeah he has!
L: Hes a devil, isnt he?! Hes been such fun. So its been great for me.
J: And when he first joinedhow old were you? You were about 16 when you very first joined?
L: It sort of varies according to my mood! But I think I was about 15, 16, something like that.
J: So you must have been very shy on setand Leslie and Anita Dobson really kind of looked after you.
L: Oh yeah, they took me under their wing, they were awesome. I mean, come this November itll be 20 years we started rehearsing the show.
J: Gosh!
L: I know! Im 36 now so its been quite a journey really.
R: So they literally adopted you, didnt they? I mean, you know, in a sense as well as in the storyline.
L: Oh yeah, absolutely.
R: Ok lets go back to this one, were going to show a bit from tonights. Dens obviously been getting to you. Youve obviously gone back with him. Hes obviously been twisting your mind against Dennis because hes poisoned - I can just see just from this scene that hes poisoning, well hes half poisoned you.
L: Yeah.
R: Cause Dennis is no at the front door - lets have a look.
*Shows clip from Dennis kicking at the front door*
J: Surely its not just because you were punched that you changed your mind about him, is it?
R: Its Dirty Den, hes being manipulative, isnt he?
L: Yeah, absolutely being manipulative. I think as well that Sharon and - um - Id had a scene with him basically saying that, you know, just anytime trouble comes to you just walk awayturn around, walk away and let it goit doesnt matter weve got each other.
J: Oh right.
L: And I think because of that-
R: Cause he lost it.
L: Yeah cause he lost it and his temper frightens her.
R: Now listen, we talked earlier about when you might have come into Eastendersdepending on your mood.
*Laugh from Letitia*
R: Well we found an early clip, it wont prove anything
L: Oh lovely, the poodle perm days, is it?
J: It is actually!
R: Do you know weve got songs for posh later?
L: Ive heard, yeah.
R: Well weve had thousands of entries and weve had some really good ones from people who want to write for Posh. But you were there way ahead of everyone else, her, the Spice Girls, Pop Idol, Fame Academy
Remember this?
They play a clip of Letitia singing Something Outta Nothing with The Banned and doing really dodgy dance moves. They chop between that and her cringing on the sofa as she watches it.
R: Enough! Mercy!
L: Spookily like Beyonce there!
R: It does prove one thing Ive always believed - there is only one thing worse that seeing your dad dance
L: Yeah, seeing yourself dance! And thinking youre such a great mover!
R: and thinking it was great at the time!
L: I think it scraped into number 11. Maybe Posh would re-release that one, whatd you reckon?
R: What was it called?
L: Something Outta Nothing. It was fabulous! Well turn a spark into a flame.
*insane laughter from Richard*
J: How is married life treating you then?
L: Its lovely, yeah!
J: What is it, about over a year now?
L: Itll be 2 years in September.
J: 2 years in Septempber
L: Yeah, since we got married so its going good, yeah.
R: Are you happy?
L: Very happy.
J: Is it what you expect it to be?
L: Yeah its lovely, theres a real contentment there.
R: You cant beat a good marriage, can you? Puts the icing on everything
. Right look, thisll please you actually. Before you got married - when you were still onscreen at Eastenderswe, um, picked out 5 of your lovers - onscreen
J: Not yours!
L: Ohhh mmm!
J: Sharons!
R: Sharons lovers in Eastenders and weve put them in a composite.
L: Oh ok.
R: Like a police photo fit and we want you to look at this composite first of all.
*show the composite*
J: Hes gorgeous, isnt he!
R: Weve got some questions for you. Whos hair do you think is in that composite?
L: Oh, Ive no idea.
R: Shall I give you the 5 names? Weve got Ian Beale, Phil Mitchell, Grant Mitchell, Dennis and Wicksy.
L: Wicksy.
R: Yeah!
J: Look at that hair! Ok the eyes, if we go back to that picture. Who do those eyes belong to?
L: UmIan.
R: Ian Beale?
L: No? Who is it?
*reveals picture of Nigel*
L: No its Nigel! Sorry Nige!
Goes on like that until she guesses who the nose, mouth and ears belong too and guesses them all correctly.
R: Right well ok, good luck with the rest of the storyline.
L: Thank you
R: Its a lovely storyline.
L: Yeah Im really enjoying doing it.
R: As usual youre playing it beautifully.
L: Thank you.
R: Its a pleasure to watch you.
L: Thank you.
R: You look great.
L: Thank you. Was lovely to see you again.
J: Cheers.
R: Did I hear you were going back into a musical?
L: No, not that Ive heard of. Id love to one day.
R: Right ok well see what we can arrange!
J: What? *looks at him likes sprouted a second head*
R: No? Ok Ill check out my sources and get back to you. |
