Letitia in "Loot"
National Tour, 1999
Loot is the comedic genius of the late Joe Orton, written in the "Swinging Sixties". Letitia was part of the national tour in 1999, in the female lead of nurse Fay, opposite Boon star, Michael Elphick as Inspector Truscott.
So what's "Loot" all about?
The events in this blackest of comedies take place on the day of a murdered woman's funeral. The coffin dominates the stage, but where is the body? And where is the stolen loot from the recent bank robbery? What is the secret history of the much married nurse? Just how close is the friendship between Dennis and Hal? And why does the man from the water board seem to be conducting a murder inquiry?
Joe Orton's LOOT, one of the funniest plays of the Sixties, received both public and critical acclaim during a recent run in London's West End. Orton's comic masterpiece is packed with brilliant one-liners and situations which are hilariously constructed and absurdly resolved.
~*~
LOOT is an outrageous comedy, which tells the story of a bungled bank robbery and its hilarious consequences.

Letitia Dean, best known as Sharon in Eastenders and as Chris, the leading role in the phenomenally successful BBC series, The Hello Girls, stars as the tempting and deadly nurse Fay. Whilst Michael Elphick, best remembered for playing the title role in Boon, stars as the determined and and explosive Inspector Truscott, whose search for stolen money turns and everyday funeral into a right Carry On!
"Peppered with hilarious situations, absurdity and side-splitting one-liners."
