| Lain is a seriously messed up story. All the more reason to love it. The basic story is about a girl (Lain) getting an e-mail from a dead classmate. She therefore begins to get involved with computers and gets realizes what she may or may not be. She begins to question reality. Eventually asking the worldly paradox, If God created all, what created God. Lain Iwakura: Age: 14 A quiet middle school student with very few friends. Her family never pays attention to her. She gets an e-mail from a girl who committed suicide, thus beginning the series. Her personality does a complete 180 when she gets into the wired. Mika: Age:16 Lain's older sister who shows no interest in her family. Yasuo Iwakura: Lains father who knows a lot about computers. Arisu: Age: 14/15 She is Lain's best friend and always trying to get Lain to be involved with other people. Reika: Age: 14/15 One of Lain's classmates. She is best friend's with Juri, friends with Arisu and later in the series, friends with Lain. Juri: Age: 14/15 Juri is one of Alice, and Rikas friends from school. She tends to be a bit mean to Lain sometimes but I'm sure she doesn't mean it most of the time. Chisa: Age: 14/15 She commits suicide at the beginning, later on, her old classmates get e-mails from her. Taro: Age: 14/15 A young hacker. He becomes involved with Lain. |
