Stop The Boot Delay

Stop the Floppy Drive Scan when your computer boots up. It takes about 10-20 seconds of your time and is practicly worthless. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Performance, File System Floppy Disk. Then uncheck that box.

Stop the 10-20 second boot delay, you dont need it. Go to Start, Find, Files or Folders. Type msdos.sys and hit Find Now. Right click it and go to Properties. Remove the checks from Read-Only and Hidden and hit OK. Righ click it again and go to Open With, then select Notepad. Scroll down to where it says Options, make a new line under Options called BootDelay=0 or BootDelay=1 then exit Notepad, saving changes on your way out. Right click again and go to Properties. Replace the checks to Read-Only and Hidden.
