| The Kabalistic Cross |
| Step One. The Kabalistic Cross: Facing East.......Plant your feet firmly on the ground and visualize yourself getting larger and larger. Growing taller and taller until you are taller than a house..then taller than the trees...growing taller and taller until your head reaches the clouds....then even taller still. You are in space now and the earth is a mere spot under your feet, yet you are firmly planted and secure. As you look above your head into the galaxy you see a white light growing brighter and brighter....it is coming towards you and growing brighter and bigger....brighter than thousands of suns....but the size of a pie plate. Concentrate on this beam of divine light....point to it with your index finger and visually bring it down to your forehead...Visualize this radiance filling your head with divine light. While pointing to your forehead vibrate the word Ah-TAH (boldfaced symbol denotes emphasis) Step Two: Bring your finger down the center of your body until you are pointing towards the ground. Your hand should be in the groin area. As you do this, visualize the light from your head coming down with your finger through your body and straight to eternity....vibrate: Mahl-KOOT. Step Three: Touch your finger to your right shoulder. As you do so, visualize the same beam of light running through the center of your body and forming a beam from the heart area and extending to your right...past your finger and to eternity. Focus on the white light and vibrate: Vih-G'Boo-RAH. Step Four: Move your index finger to your left shoulder using the same visualization techniques as in step three....allowing the light to travel from the heart area out to the left and into eternity. Focus on the white light and vibrate: Vih-G'Doo-LAH. Step Five: Clap your hands together at your chest as if praying and visualize within your chest a brilliant glow of golden light. Vibrate: Lih-Oh-LAHM, Ah-MEN. You have just preformed the Kabalistic Cross. The words used to vibrate are hebrew and have the following meanings.... Ah-TAH means "Thine" and represents a linking with the Divine. Mahl-KOOT means "Kingdom" and according to the Kabalah, referes to the Earth, that is why you point down when vibrating this word. Vih-G'Boo-RAH means "and the power" Vih-G'Doo-LAH means "and the glory" Lih-Oh-LAHM means "forever" and Ahmen means amen. There are many variations that can be used...but since these are the basic steps we won't worry about them here. |
