Sorry that I'm not writing to you all more often, but it's because my Dad's computer is relatively sub-standard, plus the modem has just given-out on us a the beginning of December.  So I've had to either go to my cousin's place on the weekend to use his computer, or go to a nearby cybercafe which charges RM$6/hour (I get a free coffee there though).   Currently, my Dad's computer at home is a Pentium with a 200MHz processor, 16MB RAM, 1.5GB Hard drive, and a 33.6kB modem that used to connect at about 22kB/s before it 'died' on us.

We're planning to just get a whole new computer.  There are a lot of good deals going around at the moment for RM$1200-RM$1600 with a monitor for everything from Celeron 850MHz to PentiumIV 1.4GHz.  Now that my Dad will be getting his year-end bonus soon, we should be able to get it soon.  Another reason we may have to put off getting the computer is because Dad wants to get a bigger TV, from our current 14" to about 25".  So we're having to do some budget-balancing.

I'm getting really sick of using these Cybercafe computers, too.  Rather than installing anti-virus software, they've decided to disable the a drives in a attempt to curb viruses.  They've also not installed any text or word editor on the computers, which means I have to type everything out here to put on the website and can't do it at home beforehand.  And they're running Explorer version 4-point-something on this computer, which doesn't support certain scripts.  (whinge, whinge, whinge...)
