History: Born on Samhain night in feudal Japan, he grew up the youngest son of a samurai. His three older brothers were the traditional children, obedient and loyal, as was Yuka, but there was always something different. Shuten, his eldest brother, trained in tactics and strategy in order to replace his father. Yamato, his second eldest brother, undertook training to become a shaman, while Taki, his third eldest brother (and the only one to ever be at all kind to him) trained in archery and infantry. Yuka was three and had a kusari-gama shoved into his hands; as a result, he is exquisitely deadly with the thing. He grew up in a rather sheltered manner, training daily in combat, riding, and battle stratagems. When he hit puberty, he realized he held no attraction toward females whatsoever. He made the mistake of telling his father, a formiddable and unforgiving masho, this bit of information. He was summarily disowned and shoved through an interdimensional portal to Ayenee. Upon reaching Ayenee (shortly after his fifteenth birthday) he became a member of the Redhawks mercenary band. He stayed with them for two years. During that time, he fell hopelessly in love with his commander, Cross Aladriss, who finally indulged his adoration for the last year of their association. Things ended badly and he left the Redhawks, traveling across planes to Faerun, where he roamed the countryside, fighting evil and defending the weak. When he was seventeen, he ended up in Waterdeep and tangled in the affairs of the Coalition of Blades, a group of 'good guys', and ended up helping Perthias save the world and destroy an evil wizard. After he left Waterdeep, he spent another six months traveling over Toril's surface to continue killing evil, etc. Then his friend Marcus showed up and took him to the modern world for a time, and he learned the motivations behind the evil he strove to fight. Then Marcus locked him in a cellar with his ex lover, Cross, and they got back together again and are now back on Faerun, saving the world together.
Personality: There's really only one word to describe Yuka. Some would say it's innocent, but while he truly is innocent despite all the shit that's happened to him, that's not it. He is incredibly enigmatic. He's a sweet, shy, loving little boy who can turn into a cold fighter one moment or a wanton lover the next. He grew up with a weapon in his hands, and yet everything about him screams victim. He's young and beautiful, though he'll deny the latter til his death, and hopelessly, utterly in love with Cross, who finally, to his complete delight, returns that love. He's a very sweet and affectionate little thing, but once you get past his incredible shyness, he's actually a very enthusiastic lover, verging on nymphomania. He has lots of friends and plenty of ballads have been written about him, though, for the life of him, he hasn't a clue why.
Powers: Yuka is pure human. He does not have any powers that he can access, but his aura is incredibly strong and as a result, he is a walking battery for mages who can use life-energy to further their spells. Other than that, he possesses unnatural speed and grace, and is -much- stronger than his slender frame would suggest. He is also exceptionally amazing with a kusari-gama, and has a propensity for any weapon he bothers to pick up.
