| History: Born to Irilisan Isabourne and Dorian SummerStorm, Laeiryn was raised in modern Norway. He attended school like any other kid, but got quite the different education at home. An expert with his vampiric powers, Laeiryn set out to become a rock star after high school and a lengthy friendship with Kaiya Hirogaki. Soon becoming famous as "Myst", Laei traveled all over the world while his father Ice was busy becoming Evil Overlord of a large kingdom. Then, after a good twenty years of fame Lestat-style, he decided to join his father in the new land of Mitgart, where he was Prince for several centuries. During his term as Prince of Mitgart, he was Ambassador to the Hoshigojin and personal champion and bodyguard of their Empress. Eventually he went adventuring again, unable to stay in one place for too long, and spent a few centuries at sea and at sky. When he finally returned home to Mitgart, he met there a Princess from a land called Chankoria; within days, they were betrothed; months, wedded. They became King and Queen of Chankoria. Her name was Lilith and she was sweet and beautiful and courtly - and also bound by the powers of Darkness to fulfill a dark prophecy. She bore him twin sons, and then cheated on him to fulfill the prophecy. He found out and killed her and fled his kingdom, leaving the twin seventeen-year olds Aluinn and Faileas to run the land and protect their bastard little brother. Now he's back on a parallel Earth and wanting to forget his whole wasted millenia. Personality: Laeiryn is a vampire by birth, and also a demon by birth. Both of his fathers have souls darker than a black hole, but Laeiryn is not evil, merely chaotic; not malicious, merely destructive, and there is a difference. He's actually mostly sane, which is saying something, and he is an optimist, still young at heart and naive in so many ways that it's frightening. He's an excellent actor and can talk his way out of nearly anything; indeed, he's so charming it hurts. That, in addition to abso-fucking-lutely stunning good looks, makes him veritably irresistible. A lot of the time, he'll pretend to be sarcastic or lecherous, but under it all, he's really just sweet and affectionate. His deepest desire is to be owned, completely and fully, and he is still in an incredible amount of pain from the betrayal of Lilith, whom he loved dearly and absolutely. He's a total fucking masochist, which mostly stems from the fact that his body is wired oddly and he feels pain as pleasure. Special Talents/Powers: As a vampire of much power, Laeiryn can take the shape of an animal - a snow leopard, larger than normal - and that of mist. He has very minor telepathy - he can pick up things from the surface of people's minds, and talk into others' heads. He is also somewhat telekinetic, in that he can flick on a light switch from across a room or unlock a lock. He can't lift or move much, but he can do it very, very precisely, having been trained in all these powers since birth, and that was a LONG time ago. He can bite and cause ecstasy, and by licking a wound made of his fangs he can heal it. He can drop the shields around his aura to let shine forth a terrifying Power that makes most humans run. He is immortal and cannot be harmed by sunlight - a combination of his demon blood and the lapis earring - and neither garlic, crosses, or running water are any hindrance to him. He can eat and even live off of normal food or animal blood, but he prefers humans, which he can hypnotize into baring their necks. As a bard, he has a painfully sexy voice, and can work magic through song. He can sing up a storm or a wind or false courage. He can also dance and play harp and guitar. He draws incredibly well and writes music and poetry. All in all, he's pretty powerful, but he usually doesn't bother to use it, instead choosing to rely on his own wits and charm to save him and only falling back on his powers when necessary. He also does not perceive pain as pain, but pleasure. (I.E. - the Cruciatus curse can pretty much make him come on the spot.) |
