· Open PB/4, read aloud the title, ask: Who wrote Great expectation. Dickens. Is it a novel or a play? A novel. · Ask: How many pic's are there on page 4-5? 6. S read the captions under them. · I'll ask some Q's during introducing the new words: 1. What are the names of the main and other characters? Pip, Joe, Pip's sister and the prisoner. 2. Why is the prisoner wanted by the police? because he escaped from prison. 3. Why was he in the prison? because he had done something wrong. 4. What do you think that the judge is saying? He is saying that the convict must die. · Introduce: Ø expectation: comes from the v. expect: They are things that you expect will happen.Øorphan: a person who has no parents. Ø strict: Always making people do what you want (without thinking).Økind: = friendly Øwarm-hearted = kind & friendly Øwanted = the police (catch/want) him.
