PROCEDURE

 

OBJECTIVES:

1st.Introduce and practise an oral description of how to cook something.

2nd.Practise the oral description using You.... and also the passive.

TEACHING AIDS:

some cards, some pic's, the poster, the cassette

ACTIVITIES:

B. (20m)

 

·       Hang up the poster (pic 1), play the cassette to the end of What you need. Play it again ask: What do you need to make scrambled eggs? ...........

·       Introduce the new voc as I come to them:

Þ   beat

Þ   beaten

Þ   mix

Þ   mixture

Þ   pepper

Þ   scrambled

Þ   stir

·       Play the cassette again, these words are clear from the context, look at the last pic to introduce scrambled eggs

·       Ask the previous Q with the pic,s, S say the steps.

 

 

 

·       Open PB/18, read the ins's, S read the rest. Ask them to use the Simple Present with you by asking S : What do you do first? First, you break..........

·       Look at PB/18/ part 3, say here we'll use:

  IS/ARE  +  P.P. } the passive

·       Write on the board:

IS / ARE + P.P.

 

                                                (broken, beaten, mixed, added, heated, stirred, served)

·       To elicit the passive ask Q's like: What are broken first?.....
