·       How did Mr. Al-Ali introduce himself to the customer? How do you do? / How does he ask him for his opinion of the restaurant? What do you think of......? It is .........

·       Open PB/12, S read  1A/B, S practise in part 2

·       Read part 3 and 4.

·       Turn PB/13, box 1, a S read the 2 sentences in 1, Say: The first sentence does not have the  word a

      but the 2nd sentence does have the word (a).

 

·       Do the same with the rest. Say: We can count restaurant and manager but we can't count food, so there is no (a) e.g., : material, marble, concrete, grass.......

·       With #4: There are many waiters so we say "The waiters are friendly"

 

 

·       Look at the 3rd box, read the sentences aloud, say:

  1.   The word very can be good and bad. e.g. have a very big suitcase. Ask: Is that good or bad?

 A-Good because it can hold a lot of things. B- Bad because you can’t put it into a car.

  2.    The word too is bad e.g., My suitcase is too heavy. Ask : Is that good or bad? (bad) Why? Because you can,t carry it.

 

 

 

·       Look at the 4th box, point to the customer and read, then say: The speaker is reporting what the customer said and he has to change the words, S stand up and repeat the con.

·       Open WB/7-8, read the ins's, S answer orally without writing anything.
