· Pic2: Hang the poster, ask: Where is Mr. Al-Ali now? In a restaurant. Who is he talking to? customer = a person who buys something. What are they talking about? The restaurant. What is the other man doing? He is having dinner. What is his name. We don't know. · Pic 3: Introduce busy: Are there a lot of customers or a few? a lot. So the restaurant is busy. When there are only a few customers, it isn’t busy. · popular: Do customers like this restaurant? Yes. So it is popular. A popular person is someone that a lot of people like. · S listen for the answer to: How many people speak? Who are they? Mr. Al-Ali, a customer and the manager. · Play the cassette, elicit the answers. · Why do you say " a customer" but " the manager "? 1. A customer: is one of many in the restaurant. 2. The manager: is only one manager of a restaurant. · Ask: What does the customer think of the restaurant and the food? The restaurant is very nice. The food is delicious. · Play the cassette one by one, explain these words: 1. opinion: translate it. 2. think of: ask: What is your opinion of the E book? or What do you think of the E book? 3. How do you do? = Hello (but is only used the 1st time) 4. certainly: Yes or Of course 5. delicious: it tastes excellent. 6. cooking: the food and the way it is cooked. 7. friendly adj. = acting (doing) as a friend. 8. costly = expensive 9. complain (v), complaint (n) to say that something is wrong. · Open PB/11, begin reading , S complete. |
