untitled
I watch you sleep through
Half shuttered windows
The colour of your skin
And your autumn grey eyes

I have felt your breath
Against my ear as you slept
Pressed my cheek against
Your coat when you weren't
Looking

I read your mail
Heard you laugh
Listened to your words
Watch you catch snowflakes
on your lashes and tongue

Obsession
I drank you up through a spiral straw
But you didn't seem to mind
You passed over my lips,
caressed my tongue
I felt safe and warm.

When does it become a crime
To watch through dirty windows
The life I once dreamed of
Before it turned into this nightmare.

Slip the band around my arm
Make the veins stand out
Inject me with life
For this greyness has me trapped.

I leave your front door
And run down the street
There's dogs nipping my heals
It begins to rain.

Colour me.....

Colour me
with the opacity of
night sprinkled
with the fierce
stars that
burn in my belly

Colour me
the scent of
spring with the odour
flowers and fresh
pungent earth that
echoes in my head

Colour me
with the sound of
an orchestra that
has one instrument
out of tune that
only my lips sing

Colour me
with water from
the ocean, eroding,
and salty that
sharpens my tongue

Mainstream madness

Depth of loneliness
Hath no fury
than the one you cannot
hear screaming.

Your apathy a
Silent rebuke and hurts more
than you ever would have hoped
or guessed.

Dead children of the
Revolution
Addicted to mainstream media
Because the military have
Our imaginations
Hostage.

A sigh
One more for the road
Then stagger out
Oblivious to the world
Around us.
