~A LITTLE LES MIS HISTORY!~ I have been a Les Miserables fan since I was a Sophomore in Highschool and began to be interested in theater. I first heard "A Little Fall of Rain" at my friends house and I ended up listening to the complete symphonic recording over and over, every day. I would rewind and rewind the part when Marius bumps into Cosette, "I didn't see you there, forgive me..." *sigh* I was hooked!! I AM hooked, I guess I should say, because I love it more and more each day. Here's the thing though...I have never seen the show. I can play the entire thing out in my head, and I have been mostly right about the plot. I have waited seven long years to see it, living in a small town in Utah, it's not too easy, unless you get tickets fast when it finally does come to town...and guess what? I have a ticket to the see the touring company at the Capitol Theater in April. I can't wait! I just know that when I walk into that theater, I am going to start crying and probably wont stop until the end of the week!!! It's something that I have been longing for all of my grown up life. It will be amazing!! ~THEATER & ME~ I have had the priveledge to be in some pretty awesome plays (see pictures). Theater makes me so passionate, I live for it. I have been a singer my whole life, and musicals, rather than plays just appeal to me and I can't turn them down. It's really the best feeling in the world to walk out for curtain call knowing you did a spectacular job and gave it your all. I also recently had the opportunity to direct the Musical ANNIE. It was my directing debut, and just about everything went wrong. We practiced for 2/3 of the show not knowing who our Daddy Warbucks would be. The town I live in does not have a community theater and we weren't taken seriously at all, especially considering I was only 21. But, amazingly enough it went wonderfully! And the crowds were great, our response was excellent, and I decided to direct The Secret Garden this summer...wish me good luck!!
