Evan Young - Father
Born 1796 in Washington County, Pennsylvania
Died 1854 -1859 in Jackson Township, Hamilton County, Indiana
Marriage 1817 in Washington County, Pennsylvania
*The date of his death is a guess. When his daughter Anna married (1854) on the marriage certificate was a statement where her father Evan was giving his permission for the marriage. Elizabeth was living with Anna and her husband during the 1860 census and John L. was living with James and his family.

Elizabeth Carson - Mother
Born 1800 in Washington County, Pennsylvania
Died 1868 in Cicero, Jackson Township, Hamilton County, Indiana
Married 1817 in Washington County, Pennsylvania
*The year of her death is based on a newspaper clipping for an estate auction of her items on January 30, 1869.
James C. - Brother
Born 1819
Died 1863
Married Mary Diller in 1849 in Hamilton County
*James was killed in the Battle of Stone River in Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Evan - Brother
Born 1823 in Washington County, Pennsylvania
Died 1896 in Republic County, Kansas
Evan married Emma Hurley who was born in Virginia - I believe that John and Phoebe Hurley were her parents. I did find a source that quoted her maiden name as Hurley. The researcher was descended through Evan and Emma's oldest daughter Mary Elinor. There are a couple of other items that also fit this possiblity.

Dinah P. - Sister
Born 1823 in Wayne County, Indiana
Died 1853 in Jackson Township, Hamilton County, Indiana
Married William T. Roadrick in 1847 in Hamilton County, Indiana
*The reason I believe Dinah is Evan and Elizabeth's daughter is Dinah's children received a share of Elizabeth's property after she died.
Anna C. B. - Sister
Born 1831 in Wayne County, Indiana
Died 1885 in Tipton County
Married Reuben Bennett in 1853 in Hamilton County
*The reason I believed she died in 1885 is when her daughters sold her property in August 1886 there was a notation on the deed that the deceased (Anna) died in December. I am assuming that this would December 1885 thought it is possible that she died in December 1884.
Ellis E. - Brother
Born 1836 in Wayne County, Indiana
Died 1908 in Arcardia, Hamilton County
Married Barbara Bilhiemer in 1865 in Hamilton County
*His first wife was Jane Esther Miller who he married in 1861. They had twins Isaac and Sarah. They both died within months of each other in 1862. Jane died in 1864. They are buried in the Cicero Cemetery in Hamilton County
John L. - Brother
Born 1841 in Fayette County, Indiana
Died 1863 in Gallatin, Tennessee
*He died of disease while in the Union Army. He and his brother James enlisted at the same time.
