"Sugar Maple Bloodhounds" John and Leslie Davidson NO PUPPIES AVAILABLE. We Neutered and Spayed our 2 Bloodhounds and will not have any more litters. Our Fall 2006 litter and Summer 2007 litter were all placed in good homes. Keep reading for info about bloodhounds or our family, they are in relax and play mode 24/7 since they won't have more litters. .
"Our Two" Our bloodhounds are family pets. Tressel is our male (born September 1, 2003) and Maple is our female (born May 25, 2005). They are a joy and a handful. Tressel is a true Red Bloodhound, while Maple is listed as a Black and Tan Bloodhound but looks a light red (tannish) with a hardly noticable saddle. They have the long ears, drool, and sad or droopy eye expression typical of bloodhounds. Maple is a chewer while Tressel is a jumper. The combo of their bloodlines includes police dogs, trackers, and family pets. They have both been through obedience training though sometimes it takes them a moment to recall it! They have access to roam and romp in our large (acre plus) fenced yard. They are family.
"General Info: " Are you interested in having a bloodhound? Would you like to purchase one of our puppies? Keep reading then contact us below. Remember that we want only responsible pet owners to have our puppies. This means that you plan to fix/spay/neuter your pet unless responsible breeding is in your plans. Bloodhounds can be family pets, and are good with children. My husband often uses the catch phrase "ears, nose, and no threat" to describe them. Please remember though that they do grow to be large dogs (between 85-105 lbs). They can also be search and rescue dogs or law enforcement dogs with proper training. Bloodhounds are the most excellent trackers the world over. They can be used for hunting (where/when it is legal to use a trained hunting dog). We strongly suggest that you have a fenced yard for the dogs safety. Bloodhounds are fun loving and healthy dogs but need some special care: they need to be fed a high quality dog food to prevent bloat (where their stomach twists) and also may need their ears cleaned periodically (because they are large and low to the ground when they are nosing around) they can hold dirt and moisture.
