I still hold the record for the longest married. 27 yrs now. Donna was in the class of 75. 1 daughter, Mary, 26, to be married in March of 2002, son Thom, Jr., 24 soon to be divorced, Son Corey involved. Had our granddaughter April 19, 2001 (Isabella). |

Well, now never thought I would live this long , but I did. The first 5 years out of school are a blur, the next 10 I was with Ruby Tuesday's in Atlanta, Knoxville, I liked Knoxville and have been here ever since ummm something like 79-81 in Atlanta (Lenox Square) then Ruby's on the strip in Knoxville & the world's fair. Left Ruby's in 82 & worked for Copper Cellar Resturant's and a few other's too, got totally burned out on cooking, so I went to school. Worked for Levi's for a few years while in school, after school I worked for a plastics company repairing injection molding machines. Got a contract job with Amil Plastics in Saudi, that brings us up to 1995. Somewhere around about 88 I was married & produced a daughter Tawny Nicole (Nikki) in 89, yes, I know I waited for a long time to marry but, I'm still on my first. Well, back to my story...In 1995 after almost a year off work from injuries, I answered an ad in the paper for a tech and I was hired and still work for this wonderful company for almost 7 years now. I'm a field servvice tech repairing installing DC power systems for telcom's, substations, backup power, UPS, this is the best job ever I have yet to be bored. I have many current interests: computers, Mazda RX7's which I have on with a 350v8, RC flying, home repair and net surfing. As I went thru the names I began to remember those days ong ago sleeping the days away in class (movies with Ms. Stanton I think). First thing in the morning sometimes the projector was undectable over the snoring. Ms Massey's field trip to the beach. I think it was Cindy Edwards that said her most vivid memory was of "the wall", where all the smokers "hung out". I went back to Orange Park in February for mother's funeral and it's not the same, the whole time back I wondered where the time went day after day, turning into weeks and years and years and years and years. I remember sitting in that desk counting hours, minutes and seconds till the last bell rang. ~Tom |

Reid, my husband of 23+ years is retired from the Navy and for the next year or so we will live in Louisville KY. Our son, Mikel, is living in Arlington and engaged. Our daughter, Jodi is in her final year at UNF and living in Atlantic Beach. Our third, Chris is moving back to OP to attend FCCJ in the spring. In all the years of "spanning the globe" we have had a great time, met great people, and shared many wonderful experiences. I am anxious to start plans to return home in the next year or so. Part of that plan is to re-connect and build friendships long neglected. |

I am overwhelmed by the sight of so many beautiful faces of the days of the Dazed and Confused. What a bittersweet surprise to see so many of you doing so well, and some already lost. I left OPHS rather abruptly (rash youth) and have been a middle school teacher for many years, a sort of proof of karma. I haven recently gotten a degree in graphic design, and I draw and paint. I have two children by a previous marriage, Emily who is at FSU studying to be a librarian, and Stuart who attended Bolles School as a boarder and who is studying business and Russian at Trinity Univ. in San Antonio. Stuart has worked for a couple of summers as a beach lifeguard at Fernandina Beach & although I live in Nashville with my husband John Brittingham, I visit my children in Florida often. I would love to hear from any and all, and especially if someone knows how to contact Jack McCart. I highly recommend that you see the Grand Canyon. |
