Britney Jean Spears was born in Kentwood,
Louisiana on December 2nd 1981. Britney has always had a love for
music and stardom as she proved from a young age by going on ‘Starsearch’ at
the age of 9. After being on ‘Starsearch’ Britney found out that the Mickey
mouse club were holding an event for talented young kids to perform on their
show. Britney and her Mom flew out to Orlando were the auditions were being
held. Britney was up against thousands of other kids for a part in the show.
Britney did well and got into the top six for a place in the show only to be
told that she was too young for the part. The Producers did tell Britney of
another place she could check out in New York. Britney was very disappointed at this time
though six months later she built up the courage to go to New York to the
agency that was recommended to her by the producers of the Mickey Mouse Club.
Britney finnaly got a break and landed roles in commercials and got cast as
the lead role in show ‘Ruthless’ based on the film ‘The Bad Seed’. Britney then got fed up and quit the show. She
was just on her way back to her family for Christmas when she found out that
there was another casting call for the Mickey Mouse Club. As she was much
older and had more experience she got in. The show got cancelled 2 years
later and went back home to her family. Britney was now 15 and got a call
from Jive records asking her to fly to New York. Britney sang and well you
can guess what happened next, they signed her up and she released her first
hit track ‘Baby one more Time’. Britney has released 3 albums to date since.
