On the 15 Feb 1609 John, Lord Herries, conveyed to Archibald Herries an annual rent from the lands of Margerg in the Lordship of Herries. On 25 Jan 1615 there was recorded a bond of Archibald Herries in Bogrie to Mungo Campbell of Cowtaldshaw. Archibald died before 1624, becaus on 22 Dec 1624 Jean Hamilton, his widow, was then the wife of Albert Brown in Trostane.
