LesBeFriends provides a venue for socializing and networking among lesbian, queer and queer-friendly women in Santa Fe and surrounding areas.� We are loosely organized and member-driven.� Our events and activities are planned by LBF members who are looking for a few good women for fun and friendship. LBF is open to all women, but women only - single or partnered, new to New Mexico or longtime resident, all ages and lifestyles. However, we are not a dating service or therapy group. Please join us! How We Operate
Monthly Newsletter:� LBF puts out a monthly newsletter of member-coordinated events, along with other pertinent information.� This list is available through the LBF group mailing list.� Not a member?� Sign up here.
Dues and Fees:� There is NO CHARGE to receive the newsletter via e-mail.� Certain events or activities may have a fee and this information will be part of the event description in the monthly newsletter.� Members planning events may not charge fees for their own time or services (i.e., "guide fees").� Any fees are limited to the actual cost of meals, event entry or tickets, room rental, etc.
E-mail Updates:� Last minute information, reminders, changes in event plans, or cancellations will be communicated through the LBF group e-mail list.
Monthly Meetings:� Monthly planning meetings will be announced through the LBF group e-mail.� The monthly planning meeting includes plenty of socializing along with a small dose of business and planning.� Participation in monthly meetings is not required, so if you miss a meeting, you are still welcome to participate in events throughout the month.� However, we encourage attendance at the monthly meetings because this is our main opportunity to meet each other face-to-face!
Confidentiality:� The LBF group moderator maintains a list of member's names and e-mail addresses which is updated regularly.� The private information on this list is to be used by members for the purpose of personal networking, and is not to be used for sales purposes or given to individuals or organizations outside of LBF.� Please respect the confidentiality of those listed. Your e-mail address will never be given out or made available to the LBF membership unless you yourself send a message to the list, at which point members would be able to view your address and reply to you.
Coordinating Activities:� All activities are planned and organized by members, and thus the number and variety of activities offered each month is limited only by the energy and imagination of LBF participants. All members are encouraged to coordinate activities, which can range from easy hikes to wilderness camping to gallery browsing to an evening at the theater to... you name it!� If you'd like to coordinate an event, but haven't done it before and need some help with the logistics, we'll be happy to walk you through it.
