Bridal Cave Pipe Removal
This was a joint effort between Ozark Highlands Grotto and Lake Ozark Grotto. We had 28 people in attendance to help make this happen. I just can't thank everyone enough! Approximately 18-20 rusty heavy pipes are no longer part of the tour! Bob Taylor, Ken Long, and Charity Gramm contributed photos to this page. Click on any photos to make them bigger. Enjoy! ~ Charity

Pipes in the hole...
Pipes outta the hole!
Jon shows the importance of coming prepared for anything.
Ron Lather prepares the "pipe canal" while Bill Heim climbs down into the hole. We didn't want to damage any flowstone in the process.
Preparing to yank the pipes out of the hole. Jon and Bill would tie a tether to a pipe in the hole, then our awesome "Tug-Of-War" Team would pull it out.
We had two groups of happy helpers carrying the pipes out of the cave. Way to go guys!
Here's the last pipe. Tired, cold, muddy, wet, and hungry... but happy! Thanks so much, guys! ~ Char
