<BGSOUND SRC="index.html">
Served the US NAVY 1980-2000
Born in Sta Cruz,Lubao,Pampanga,Philippines. He was the 5th from the 13 children of Pablo Manalili,(died at the age of 72 in November 8,2003) and Leonila Jimenez(died in June 13,1977 at the age of 47).

During his young age,it was our mother's dream for him to join the navy.He kept that dream in his mind and tried to fulfill it.At his young age,he had gone far doing some jobs to pursue his studies. There are those times waking up early in the morning with Kuya Lito to sell pandesal.Spent hours on a gasoline station  for car washing.Did took the risks going buses to buses to sell what they can, quail eggs, peanuts, chicharon baboy, etc to have some pesos for their school accessories.Did some mechanic works too near our house.

He also worked at NIA (National Irrigation Administration)and became one of the company's basketball player.Did worked too at United Laboratories in Manila. He tried his best to educate himself for that dream come true.

Year 1980,he joined the written and physical tests of the navy at Olongapo City.He knows that our mother will be there to guide him.Luckily,he passed the test and at the same year, there he was, started his military life at San Diego. He was so responsible brother to us and a good son to our father Everytime he comes home, still the same brod we knew.Funny, full of jokes and always had his time to his family.

Five years later,he married his former high school classmate Pancita Malit
(valedictorian at their batch). They have two kids,Jamie and Ryan.He was a dedicated man to his family.Although he's already married, still they help our family in Philippines. Also took our father in San Diego and lived with them for several years.

Year 2000,when he retired in the Navy,(he served the navy for 20 years.)For a year he dedicated his time with his family.April 2002,when he felt some changes on his health and did consult their family doctor. He was shocked to know that he has lukemia.Everyone of us we're shaken and worried about him.He asked us not to tell our father about his condition,he don't want him to worry. That at that time was sick again of cancer.

He was confined at Balboa Hospital having his treatments. He always lie to our father everytime he call him in PI.He was confident that he can survive that illness through this high technology nowadays. He was so full of hope to live more.
October,he was transferred at UCSD,THORNTON for his BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT,one of our sister was his donor. After that transplant,we were all hoping for his recovery....but sudden changes ocurred, complications arised. He had to stay at the ICU...and was in coma for few days.

Thank You
  for visiting
    his website
Day 17th,his wife was surprised to received a phone call from the hospital.
Telling her that he is in a critical condition....near death.....
Unfortunately, when they arrived at the hospital,10 minutes before he's already in GOD's hands. He died at the age of 44.

Our father didn't knew about his death not even before he died just after 22 days after our brother's death.
It was so devastating...losing a good and loving brother. Our younger sisters didn't knew him that much, because he stayed in US for almost 20 years. But 20 years and distance was not a hindrance for them or for us to know him more.He did spent lot of times having our communications that kept us aligned as one family.

For 20 years he was always there....that until the last time I have talked to him(October 5)....was worried about our brothers and sisters in Philippines.
Mostly worried about our father who was sicked at that time too. That for all he knows,Tatang will be home to GOD soon. That he was so sad that he could not come if anything happen due to his confinement. But for sure....he had prepared himself on loosing him.

While at the hospital, almost everyday calling him in bed,he always tries his best to pretend that he is fine...that he is that strong man to face all the circumstances.Yes,he is.....was so strong facing the chances, the pains, the difficulties on his treatments.Infront his family he was that courageous patient for them not to worry. There was those laughters, his jokes, happiness everytime his family come to visit him.But there are time that deep inside...I know...I could feel on his words when he is down thinking about the future....he still wants to live,be with his family.......he was that weak man asking GOD to give him more chances, give him a new life for his family.

He was a good husband too as what his wife always says. For 16 years having their married life, shared a simple life....he was that supportive partner.
Was a good father to their two kids too. That Jamie and Ryan would keep him as a treasure and somehow would take the same path of life as he took when he was here.

He,who died young will be missed by his family, relatives, friends,by us...his brothers and sisters....he whom we owe a lot.We the family can't express the feelings we have to THANK him for all those years he have done to us.As a part of that feeling we dedicate this site and some other sites in his honor to always remember him,his kindness and all those memories we have shared.

May he rest in Peace with GOD
