My mother's side of the family came to Fountain County, Indiana to stay. They lived and worked on the land just east of the Wabash River. The names included in this family are Niccum, Coleman, Newkirk, Holt, Stoup, Eaton, and Thorpe.
Most of my father's side lived in Vermilion County, Illinois although some did live in Warren County, Indiana. They also worked the land as farmers and raised livestock. They include the names of Story, Makemson, Dunavan, Murphy, Taylor, McBee, Clark, and Adams.
I have been married to Terry N. Epperson for twenty years. I have touched on his family tree. His family roots also were planted in Vermilion County, Illinois and Fountain County, Indiana, but they spread out more quickly to different states than mine did. His family names included Epperson, Spencer, Henson, Ross, Atwood, Oliphant, and Joh.
