Prologue

I am a god. Not just any god, but the top of the food chain so to
speak. I am the reason even demons fear the darkness. I AM chaos, I AM despair, I
AM evil incarnate. I, dear reader, am Dark ANKH, ruler of the Destroyers, a race
of dark gods and goddesses. Now dont get me wrong, my people and I are not
entirely evil, we are part of the balance of good and that which is in between.
Nothing is entirely evil, with a few exceptions, but we arent Cub Scouts either.

Now to begin my story I could tell you the long and exciting details of
my life since birth, but as you are mere mortals and do not have that much time
Ill give you the short version. Ill begin with a small explanation of the three
worlds of the Creators, Destroyers, and Watchers as well as a little about the
Watchman and his Watchtower. Once Ive finished with that well get right into my
story, where the real fun begins. I know youll enjoy it dear reader, after all I
am a god.

The Three Races:

Ok, Ill try to explain this in simple terms. There are three races in
the dimensional plane where I live, each with its own world and rulers. All the
worlds connect to each other by long tall walls. Each has its own rules and way
of life. Ill be nice just this once and start with the other two since the
rulers happen to be my siblings after a fashion.

The first world is that of the Creators, ruled by my lovely sister ANKH.
(Yeah I know, similar names, Ill explain some other time.) The Creators are just
that, they create. They give life to everything, deities, people, planets, and
universes. They can be uppity sometimes but they are tolerable. I mean you cant
have evil without good. My sister attempts to rule them, when shes not off
gallivanting at her cabin or playing mortal with her many, many children and
husbands. Shes not a complete slut, shes picky about her men, loves them and
her children all very much. Sickening isnt it? She does ok though. She sometimes
has an entourage with her, consisting of her uncle/advisor/husband Chardock,
(Pompous twit!) and her Royal Guard of Super Soldiers the Osirans. (Thats also a
story for another time children, focus!)

Next are the Watchers. They are benevolently lead (led) by Grey ANKH,
(See a running theme people?) our dear older brother. The Watchers help keep
the balance, they are neither good nor evil, but very literally, they are Balance
itself. Thats pretty much all they do. They very rarely create or destroy. They
keep us in check to make sure we all behave. Much like the dear leader Grey ANKH,
they are dull, stodgy, know-it-alls! But they can prove amusing from time to
time. Even balance can falter on occasion.

Now we come to the crme de la crme. I lead the Destroyers. We are
emissaries of chaos, despair, hate, pain, loss, and evil. We create evil,
disease, corruption, and hate. We destroy entire galaxies with no effort, but
again I remind you that we are not wholly evil, we are part of a balancing force.
We love and feel pain and loss just like you mortals do. We marry and have
children, and we have friendships and fight. Yes we enjoy torture, death, and
sorrow, but to be truly evil you have to have a mostly indiscernible amount of
good. I may not agree with ANKH and Grey ANKH on ninety-nine percent of things, I
even despise them sometimes, but they are family so to speak, and I would not
want to exist without them.

Finally there is the Watchman. He lives high above the three worlds in
his technologically and magically advanced tower. He is almost always in his
mechanized chair sitting and watching. Thats all he does, watch his monitors and
collect information. There is nothing about everything he does not know. From the
true beginnings of existence to the absolute end of everything. He freely gives
us any information we wish, as long it will not harm the other two races. (Such a
boring creature isnt he?) He came to us only a short time ago and with him we
learned the history of our people, which had long since been lost due to ego and
misplaced lost information. This too is a very long story but relevant
nonetheless. So Ill give you a basic rundown. Our three races used to be one
race, immortal and indestructible. But, hate, ego, and war brewed among them, so
to prevent this from continuing the wisest and most powerful of the leaders
decided on a course of action. They first built the Watchmans tower a
magnificent construct of magic and technology. It had the ability to gather
information from everywhere and watch everything. It would also be able to store
and keep the information it collected. Then they built its keeper the Watchman.
A magically and technology advanced organism. He could not be destroyed by any of
the people there or those that they soon would become. He would be able to retain
all the information, and have power that would surpass the new races. He was
basically a big, anal, powerful, referee. Then using magic that has long since
been forgotten and lost, they divided their people into the three races. It was
the only way they could create a permanent balance and preserve the peace. But
even though it worked for a long time the magic that held the Destroyers and
Watchers here faded. It seems the ever so wise ones from the past were so intent
on peace that they did not concentrate on a true balance. So after a long, long,
long time the Creators forgot about the other two races and the Watchman. And
after nobody came to him after a time the Watchman himself disappeared into
another dimension to wait for the return of the other two races.

Im sure you're wondering how we returned to existence. Well that is
really easy to answer. Kahn, a brother of ANKH became full of hatred and
jealously and transformed into a Destroyer. Chardock tried very hard to bring
balance to ANKHs constant meddling in mortal affairs. All of this caused a surge
in the old magic used to create us, and Grey ANKH and I began to reemerge. And
that dear reader (that, Dear Reader,) is where I will begin my story.

Awakening of a Dark God:

I awoke to sunlight. I sat up and looked around; completely unaware of
where I was at present. I knew who I was. I was Dark ANKH, prince of the
Destroyers, soon to be king. My father Zophar had been trapped and banished for
going too far, even for a Destroyer. But as to where, and when, for that matter,
I had come to be was a mystery. We had no such sunlight as this on the homeworld.
I was in a forest it seemed, bright, peaceful, and ugh, cheery. I walked for a
while till I heard noise in a clearing ahead. And there she stood: radiant,
beautiful, and annoyingly good, ANKH, my counterpart, my sister. She was playing
with some sort of humanoid dog-like creature she called Dino. It seems she
created these woods and the cabin here as a retreat away from her duties.

I spent a long while hiding and watching her and the Creators. I also
found her brother, Kahn, still a Destroyer. You should have
seen the look on his face. Fear, terror, and happiness all in one. Ahh, but I
digress. After a few weeks of watching, exploring all the new wonders in the
dimensions and universes, and learning about ANKH and her family, (I was actually
proud of her, she created the dark creature you call Satan. Not too shabby
for a Creator.) I decided to introduce myself to her in a brotherly fashion: I
kidnapped and threatened the lives of some of her children, mortals of course,
from their respective dimensions.

See, I had created a mirror retreat for myself since I was still unable
to reform my world as yet. A forest yes, but cloudy, dark, and almost always
snowing and cold, just like I like it. I made a cabin to out of dark wood and
iron. A place where I could read, torture, and entertain guests. And when she
finally got there, (It took her a whole day to figure out there was another cabin
not that far from hers.) I made a grandiose evil entrance. I made with the
introductions and threats and maniacal laughter. After we had that
first wondrous fight I let her children go and let her know that she would never
be rid of me and to just get used to it.

She, being the walking ego that she is, didnt believe any of my story
and went to Chardock who through much research discovered what I said was true.
Suffice to say ANKH for some strange reason was less than pleased. So I did my
best to make her happy and her life exciting. I caused mayhem, destruction, and
pain, especially for her beloved mortal and demi-god loved ones. Then through
some deviousness I was able to steal a page from the Book of the Creators. (Let
me stop here for a second to explain the Books of the three races. As an extra
precaution the Books were created. They included history, and laws, but most
important were the section of spells. These spells could be used to summon the
ruler of the races and grant the caster anything they want and total control over
the ruler for a short period of time. I know what youre thinking, how is this a
good thing? Ill explain, first no one from a race could use it against their
own ruler, and only lesser beings or the other two rulers could use them. The
other two rulers could only use it to prevent the other from going too far or for
entertainment as long as it wasnt too damaging. And why let lesser beings get a
hold of this kind of power? Why let them know of our existence? The Watchman
knows, but me, I could care less.)

After stealing the page, I mulled over what to do. Then I decided on the
perfect bit of fun. I summoned her, pissed her off, and using my great powers of
seduction, I made love to her. (Now dont get all high and mighty, remember she
is not a blood relation. So stuff your ewww incest comments. Especially those
of you that are inbred, you know who you are and I know where you live. And your
worst nightmares! So sit back, keep reading, and shut it!) Since Im such a
provocative lover; and since it would piss off her family of Creator
goody-goodies, we have kept an on and off again fling.

The Watchman:

Eventually I regained enough power and found the Book of the Destroyers.
With it I resurrected my world and people. Then the real fun began, for far too
short a time. So as not to bore you with details let me just say that over the
next three years I had many triumphs and as many failures. Oh yeah, I created a
Destroyer wife for myself I named Cleopatra. ANKH and I also ended up having a
few kids, but that can wait for later. Then one day it happened, during a
particularly evil campaign ANKH and I were at her cabin world and suddenly Grey
ANKH stepped out of the shadows and knocked us both on our ass. He then
introduced himself and in his always overly superior fashion balanced out our
battle. What an asshole! I of course loathed him immediately, but ANKH looked
upon him as a kind and wise older brother. How sickening is that? He may be older
than us, but that doesnt mean I have to listen to the superior shit! Anyway
after a few months of his infernal interfering, an even more horrid thing
happened; he also gained enough power and his Book, and began to resurrect his
world and people. With that, there went my annihilation and genocide plans I had
for the year.

So now all three races were back together again after so long. We argued
and worked together. Fought evil beings that tried to destroy all we had created,
and became as close as family can. But something was still missing, and before we
could figure out what is was something disturbing began to happen. Objects of
great power, good and evil, began to disappear from everywhere. The dreaded
Necronomicon, the Gems of Eternity, the Eye of Loresh, and others. Even our Books
disappeared. This of course caused a certain amount of stress among our peoples,
and of course I was the first to be blamed, but even I wouldnt go that far, and
couldnt have even if I had wanted to. Then information began to be copied from
everywhere and one day the floating tower appeared high above the three worlds.
All the peoples were shocked. So, being that we were the rulers, the three of us
decided to investigate. We met no resistance and so, entered the tower.

Inside we found all the missing objects powering the tower and helping to
build it. A series of lights then came on, and it led us to an enormous chamber
filled from floor to ceiling with video monitors. On these monitors was
everything happening everywhere, scenes constantly changing. It was a tad
dizzying. You mortals would have had an instant brain hemorrhage, such fragile
creatures you are. Then he appeared; we knew he was not like us but still vaugley
familiar. I being the most diplomatic decided that the best action was to attack
the creature. He was fast, too fast; he slammed damn near through the floor
before I even got two inches from the ground. Then instead of asking if I was
okay the other two apologized for my behavior and asked who he was and what he
wanted. To make yet another long and dull story short, we had found yet another
ever so fun and exciting part of our colorful past, the Watchman. Although
through him we did learn more about our past. And he did help us defeat Antek,
another safety precaution left behind by the old ones. He was to awaken from
under the three worlds and send us all to Sleep Chambers, (where we go when we
get old to rejuvenate or need to heal.) forever if we became too unstable. How
did he awaken? Well that was kind of my fault for letting my son Apocal create
and underground torture room and I tried to destroy Antek because I thought it
was some sort of prank. In the end he was defeated, but he didnt go to a Sleep
Chamber, after all he was really just a kid they forced into the gigantic form he
had become. He was our first, but not last contact with one of the first race.
ANKH and I had a couple ourselves that turned out to be of all three races. Her
Super Soldier bodyguards were of the first race and were purposely left whole.
Galiana, our oldest daughter, was told by the head guard Osiris that she was
destined to one day be queen of a new race of beings born of all three races and
that when that happened true balance would finally be had. How exciting for me
huh?

A Temporary Ending:

Recently, (and this dear readers will be the end of my story for now.) my
father Zophar escaped his exile and imprisonment and stole even more unimaginable
power than he had before. He almost destroyed everything and sent us all to our
Sleep Chambers for all eternity. After several months of fierce and costly
battles we defeated him again thanks to the Watchman who found an ancient spell
to call the Tribunal Deity. This was the spell that had banished him before. And
this time we added to its power to ensure he would stay trapped. But as happy an
ending as this sounds I cannot honestly say that is true. My deceitful wife had
betrayed Apocal and myself to Zophar for power. I killed her for this; after all
she was my creation. Zophar had long ago found a way to drain the life force and
energy out of any of the races, (which is why he was banished, he sent his two
counterparts to their Sleep Chambers forever.) and he did so to my dear son. My
son still lies comatose, and even with the Sleep Chamber the physicians are
unsure if hell ever awaken again.

I AM a God. I AM despair, hate, loss, pain, destruction, and evil
incarnate. I am the reason even demons fear the dark. I am also a father who can
prey to nothing for his sons recovery. I am Dark ANKH and this was my story.
