From left to right: Mollie, Abraham, Ida, Irvin
Abraham and Ida came from the Ukraine to America, and settled on the lower east side. Mollie married a doctor, and later remarried. She had 3 children.
Irv was originally named Isidore and was born 8/16/1916.

December 1999

Alfredos is gone, along with their gummy pasta primavera
but the men
all old men
in various stages of clothing disarray
sit in the stainless steel underground passage
coffee in hand
waiting for their various appointments.
