Enter the Computer State

Perhaps the recent acts of police brutality

inevitably directed at the wrong target

expressing frustration, anger, violence (things done with too much speed as per the Buddhist saying)

are misdirected.

We are witnessing the end of the police state as the evil ideal.

Enter the computer state.

Ubiquitous computing.

Marvelous but vaguely sinister databases.

Files.

Cross-referencing possibilities.

Unbreakable codes.

Limited access.

A demented patient of mine was asked what the large box crowding my desk was.

He said it was a control box.

I suppose he was right.
