| How does the group decide who does each particular stunt? We only perform stunts that we are comfortable doing. We don't force ourselves to do something that we think we couldn't handle. If there's something in particular that every member wants to do, then we'll all do it. If there's something that only one person in the group will do, then only that one person will do it. Our group is about having fun, so we don't really stress out on having to perform a stunt, because that wouldn't do us any good. I watch the show "Jackass" on MTV. Seeing how your group and them are a lot alike, I'm wondering if they were your inspiration. No, they are not the reason why we do what we do. That has been the biggest fallacy that we've had to put up with. We originated in June of '99, and we have recordings to prove that. Jackass didn't come on the air until sometime in 2000. We watch them on TV, and we give them a lot of credit. The stuff they do is funny, but they do not inspire us to do anything. We are our own group, and we are unique. We don't copy any of their work, and if it wasn't for a lack of budget and connections to the main stage, than we would be where they're at right now. Where does the group get their nicknames and animals from? Most of our nicknames are derived from scenes that we've recorded while playing different characters (e.g. Brian - Sir Cum-A-Lot; Philip - Julius Cir-Cum-Ceasar; the knight scene). Some nicknames are based on characteristics of ourselves: Brian is lefty because...(use your imagination); Alex is nob because of a characteristic of a certain body part (and we're not talking about his nose!) and peacock because of his hair when he wakes up, etc. The animals that we portray are because we impersonate their sounds. What are you trying to accomplish with Leprecock? Leprecock is all about having our own lifestyle in which we do what we want and not worry about what others say. We don't have any future career plans from it, but you never know. Given the right opportunities, we certainly will explore any options that may become available. We will eventually print out t-shirts, sweaters, and distribute other promotional items that become symbolic of us, but for now we're really concentrating on building up a solid fan base and getting more publicity. If something as crazy as a TV show comes out of it, that's cool, but right now, its all about having fun with the whole thing. Are you being serious with the whole religion thing that's on this site? Look at it this way: There is so much chaos going on in today's world on religious supremacy, and all this fuss about how we don't do enough for our religion. It's a major cause of wars and millions of deaths or others who enter stages of insanity. We're all sick of it. We poke fun at religion as a whole. Religion shouldn't be based on how much money you have to offer them, or what you're willing to sacrific. It shouldn't scare you by saying that you're destined to hell if you don't do this and you don't do that. All of it is bullshit. We look at religion no more than someone making up a bunch of lies and getting people to believe them. We believe in what we believe in and our religion is as real as anyone elses. When we say follow Leprecock and you will be saved, we don't mean that some supernatural being is actually going to save you someday, we mean that you will have lived freely, and when you look back and you see there were no restrictions forced upon you, you'll be glad and understand what we mean. A life is a terrible thing to waste, and that's exactly what you do if you live restricted with fear. What if one of your stunts goes terribly wrong and one of you get terribly injured, or even a death occurs. Won't you feel guilty knowing that you killed one of your members? First of all, like I said, we don't do any stunts we are not comfortable about performing. We don't force anyone to do anything. If someone were to get injured, they did it at their own risk, and being apart of this group, we all hold ourselves accountable for our own well-being. Adding on, there are a couple rules in being apart of this group. One is that we must all agree that a stunt can take place. If one of us disagrees for any reason, it will not be done until the issue is resolved. Secondly, we do not perform stunts where death is a high possibility. We think about what we get ourselves into, and we don't see anything horrifically wrong happening besides maybe a couple bumps and bruises, but hey Chicks DIg Scars, so it's all good. Especially in today's society, don't you fear being negative role models towards today's youth? WE ARE NOT ROLE MODELS. We don't want to be either. If someone can't see that, then that's not our fault. This is a free country, and that means you have the freedom to do what you want, but if you're stupid enough to copy us or any other stunts group, then you deal with the consequences. We're doing this because we are sure of ourselves, and we want to entertain. We advise that people don't try this at home, and we hope they are smart enough to at least take that advice. If you don't know the difference between what's safe and what's not, then you're in for a bad time. We realize that things may happen, and we take every precaution, so don't think that we're just a bunch of wreckless fools. |
