It was a warm afternoon in June of '99. Having nothing to do, Brian and Philip decided to pay a visit to Brian's parents at Newport Beach where they were staying for the weekend camping in their RV. For a long period of time, they wanted to create something exciting. They wanted to become known and do something they liked. There was a lot of talk about creating a punk band, but figuring that neither knew how to play an instrument and having no money to start, they knew it was a far-fetched idea. However, they were still serious and wanted to take action on creating a group that they could lead that would be both entertaining for those who watched them and intriguing for themselves to be apart of. After contemplating and realizing that they both had a very high tolerance for pain, and a very high amount of stupidity and creativity, they decided they would start a stunts and pranks group eager to entertain an audience. With that said, the first thing they needed was their name.
While eating lunch, they randomly shouted out names, but nothing seemed to catch on. After about 15 minutes, they shifted off to another subject and started talking about something else. They looked around at the RV's that were parked next to Brian's parents, and started making fun of the names. Tioga, Winnebago, the Little Doppler: all names of RV's that for some reason amused them. Taking a quick glance behind them, they see an RV that supposedly said "Leprecock". As it turned out, it was actually Leprechaun, but when it was accidentally misread and shouted, they looked at each other, laughed, and knew that was the name. Leprecock stuck.
They came home that afternoon, and announced their plans to start this group with two of their friends at the time, one being Alex who has fully dedicated himself to Leprecock, and the other Sergio, no longer with the group. At the time, neither of their friends seemed to enthusiastic about it and didn't really want to pursue it. However, Alex did play key roles in the video and showed some dedication. Brian and Philip were the catalysts but they knew they couldn't succeed on their own without some support from their friends and from their primary fans. Although they needed a lot more publicity and a lot more effort from the other members, they refused to quit. When Brian's parents left for a week in August, they pulled out the video camera and started shooting some footage. The first high profile stunt was successfully accomplished as Brian somersaulted off his roof. This ignited future stunts which included: belt whippings, the glass shot, pumpkin man, skateboarder hitches a ride, etc. People who saw their initial recordings were very interested and wanted to see more. They even added a member, Erick, who quickly became welcomed, and made his debut as "Erica". At a time, where it looked as if they were starting to peak, something awful happened.
THE VIDEOS WERE FOUND:
Brian's parents looking through his room in search of incriminating evidence or whatever they were doing, found the 2 hrs. of footage that they shot. They were not happy. His friends were banished from his house, and it took a long time for things to return to normal. It seemed as if it was the end not only of their dream to become famous, but the end of Leprecock itself. The whole idea died out. Also experiencing problems with one of the members, Sergio was no longer wanted. He supposedly had more important things to attend to, and the remainder of the group was happy to dismiss him. Things didn't look to good for the group as it was fading away.
THE REBIRTH:
February of 2002 brought a change in the attitudes of the former group. Brian, Philip, Erick, and Alex being the best of friends, once again plan to restart the group. They missed the excitement and the thrill of being wild and entertaining. They wanted the spotlight back. They now admit, they were timid before. They were scared of getting caught or doing a stunt that would go wrong and get terribly injured. Their rekindled spirits no longer have them thinking that way, and they are ready to go back to their crazy antics with 110% effort holding nothing back. Leprecock is born again, but this time it's here to stay. They felt they needed one more person who was ready to show what Leprecock is all about and someone who will fully dedicate himself to this group. Only one logical choice stood out, and that's were Jason comes in. A fellow co-worker of Brian, Philip, and Erick at Albertsons, he seems to be the missing link that this group was in search of. The newest member and creator of this website is ready to join the alliance that will take over the world.
THE FUTURE:
Our new footage will be coming out very soon. We are in the process of recording footage and becoming the next big thing. Look out, Leprecock is on their way and we're cuming full steam. Look for our video, which the group hopes to have out by the end of this year. For now, just be aware, we are on our way.
