"That's right." Rick said. "I'm going to get the stuff we brought back for them." Sarah left the room to get the souvenirs they had purchased. "You guys got us presents, you didn't have to do that you know." Sav told Joe grinning. "I know, but it's the least we can do to thank you for the gift." Joe said with a smile. Sarah came out with the bags and Joe took them from her and gave Viv, Sav, Rick, and Phil each one bag.

They got them each a shirt with Hawaii on it, some Hawaiian candy and of course a pineapple for each. "I was hoping you would remember the pineapples. Thank you." Rick grinned putting his stuff back in the
bag. "You're welcome guys." Joe smiled pleased they liked the gifts. "So are you going to tell us all about the honeymoon? Don't leave out any details." Sav grinned wickedly. "Well I won't give all the gory details, but wait till you hear what happened to us on the beach just the night before last." Joe began relaying what had happened and the guys were in hysterics by the time Joe finished the story.

"Oh my god. That is too funny. We have a great excuse to tease you Joe." Phil said trying to get his laughter under control. "Yes I know, I won't be living this one down for awhile." Joe said thinking
about the months of teasing that was in store for him. "Well anyway, are you ready to get started rehearsing? The new tour is less than two weeks away." Sav said standing. "Yes, let's go to the studio now
and we can get started right away." Joe and the guys went to the studio to begin working on the songs. "I will call you guys when lunch is ready." Sarah told them. "Thanks sweetheart." Joe kissed her and headed for the studio.

They rehearsed for about four hours when Sarah called them for lunch. Once lunch was over the guys decided to head home and come back in the morning for more rehearsal. "We will see you tomorrow Joe." Phil said waving to them as he left. "Okay Phil bye." Joe closed the door after the guys left and went to help Sarah clean up the kitchen.

The next ten days went by quickly as they rehearsed daily and made slight changes in some of the lyrics and chords on some of the songs. Tomorrow was their first gig and it was taking place in Charlotte.
The venue had sold out the month before and it promised to be a great show. Sarah stayed behind to help Nicole redecorate and also made plans to do some decorating of her own.

The guys came over the next morning to pick up Joe and head for Charlotte. "I will see you when I get back sweetheart. Stay out of trouble." Joe grinned at her and gave her a kiss. "I should be the one saying that Joe considering how many females will be there wanting to take advantage of you." Sarah told him with a devilish smile. "I only have eyes for you love." Joe kissed her mouth and smiled at her. "I love you Joe. Call me when you get there so I will know you got there safely." Sarah instructed him. "Yes dear. Bye I will talk to you soon." Joe waved and headed out the door. After giving a kickass performance in Charlotte and spending two hours after the show signing autographs and posing for pictures, they had
to hurry to their next gig in Allentown. They barely had any time between shows to do anything except travel from one to another. Joe called Sarah between each gig to tell her he loved her and he missed
her. The guys were still giving him hell about the honeymoon when he had lost his clothes.

It had been two months since they had come back from the honeymoon and things had been hectic ever since. Joe and the guys were kept constantly busy with the concerts and traveling from place to place
and Sarah kept busy helping Nicole. Sarah really missed Joe and looked forward to seeing him in two weeks when the band got a brief rest in between shows. In the meantime she had to settle for talking
with him on the phone between concerts, but it just wasn't the same.

Sarah and Nicole were over at her apartment painting the bedroom. Sarah was in charge of painting the ceiling with the paintbrush that had a long handle so it wouldn't be such a strain on her back. Sarah
was just about done with the ceiling and started down the ladder to get some more paint on the roller when she was struck with a wave of dizziness. Sarah had to stop and lean against the ladder till she
felt the wave of dizziness pass. Nicole rushed over to her. "Are you okay Sarah?" Nicole asked concerned.

"Yes, I'm fine. I just got a little dizzy." Sarah smiled and continued down the ladder after it had passed. "I think the paint fumes are getting to me. I think I had better stop for today. I am going to go home and rest." Sarah said putting down the brush and wiping her hands on the rag to get some of the paint off.
 

"That's a good idea. I can finish up in here. Are you okay to drive home?" Nicole asked still worried about her friend. "I'll be fine. The dizziness is gone now. I will just go home and go to bed." Sarah said goodbye to Nicole and headed home. Sarah decided to take a bath and soak. Her body was exhausted after the hours of painting. After her bath she put on her nightgown and went to sleep.

Sarah didn't wake till the next morning and she got up to get dressed and fix herself a little breakfast. She stood to go put on her clothes when she felt a wave of nausea rise up in her and she had to rush to the bathroom. She kneeled down on the bathroom floor waiting for the nausea to pass.  Feeling better after having thrown up, she brushed her teeth and got dressed. Her stomach was still doing flip flops and she decided to pass on breakfast.

Sarah was making the bed when the phone rang. "Hi love, I just wanted to call you and tell you how much I miss you." Joe said affectionately. Sarah brightened at hearing Joe's voice.  "I miss you so much Joe. When will you be home?" Sarah asked him, a feeling of sadness in her voice. "It will just be a couple of more days and then I can hold you in my arms and make love to you. I really miss you." Joe said his own voice expressing his sadness.

 "I wish you could stay longer than four days. "Maybe the next gig I can come with you for awhile and we can be together." Sarah asked hopefully. "I think that can be arranged Sarah." Joe said his tone perking up at the idea. "That's great. I can't wait to see you. I love you and I miss you terribly." Sarah said tears starting to well up in her eyes. "I miss you too Sarah, but I will be there in two days and I will do my best to make up for the time we've been apart." Joe promised.

"Okay Joe, I can't wait. Bye, I love you." Sarah hung up after they said their goodbyes and she went in to do some laundry. She was bending down to put the clothes in the dryer when another wave of nausea along with dizziness came over her. She rushed to the bathroom almost not making it. She had just finished splashing cold water on her face in an attempt to cool her flushed face when the doorbell
rang. Sarah opened the door and Nicole was standing there. "Hi Sarah, are you ready to paint again?" Nicole took one look at Sarah and immediately became concerned. "Sarah you don't look good, are you
feeling okay?" Nicole pressed her hand to Sarah's forehead and she felt a little warm.

"I think I might be getting the flu. I felt sick when I got up this morning." Sarah told her. "Well if you think it's the flu, you better get right in bed and rest." Nicole instructed pushing Sarah toward the bedroom so she could lie down. "I think I will." Sarah laid down on the bed closing her eyes trying not to give in to the dizziness that threatened to take over again. "Sarah you really don't look good, I think you should see a doctor."  Nicole went in the bathroom to get a cold washcloth to put on Sarah's forehead.

"I'm sure it's just the flu. I will rest in bed for a couple of days and it will pass." Nicole put the washcloth on her head and looked at her. "No arguments, you are going to the doctor today if they can fit you in." Nicole told her sternly. "Okay, maybe he can do something for me." Sarah got up to call the doctor and laid back when she felt another wave of nausea. "I will call the doctor, you just rest." Nicole picked up the phone and made an appointment for one hour from now.

They arrived at the doctors and Sarah was able to go right in. "So, we are feeling a little under the weather Sarah?" The doctor asked her while  making some notes on her chart. "Yes, I got dizzy yesterday when I was painting and today when I woke up. I also got sick to my stomach. I think I might be getting the flu." Sarah explained. "The flu is going around. Was yesterday the first time you felt dizzy or nauseated?" The doctor asked as he was listening to her heart with his stethoscope. "Yes it was. I felt fine up till yesterday." Sarah began to get worried. "I'm sure it's nothing serious. We will need to do some tests to make sure that we aren't dealing with anything serious. We will do some blood work and a urine test. So, I will have the nurse come in and show you to the ladies room and then she will take your tests to the lab." The doctor left to go get the nurse.

The nurse came in and took Sarah down the hall where the ladies room was and handed her a little plastic cup. "Let me know when you're done and I will take it to the lab for you." The nurse told her and walked back to the exam room. After leaving the ladies room she found the nurse and handed the cup to her. Then the nurse took her back in the exam room and drew her blood to send to the lab. Once the nurse had gone, Sarah got dressed and waited for the doctor.

After what seemed like an eternity the doctor finally came back in. "Well Sarah, the blood work has been sent to the lab and we should have the results in a couple of days. As for the urine test we were able to obtain the results right away." The doctor explained. "So, did you find anything?" Sarah asked wondering if she wanted to know. "Well we will want to get the blood work back to make sure, but the urine test indicates that you are pregnant Sarah." The doctor told her smiling.

"Oh my god. I am going to have a baby." Sarah couldn't believe her ears. "Now I want you to understand that we will want to confirm it with the blood work, but I am positive it will tell us what I have already told you, that you are going to have a baby." Sarah was in shock. She sat there for awhile trying to let it all sink in.
 

Sarah walked back to the lobby where Nicole was waiting for her. She kind of walked by Nicole not really seeing her. She was in total shock over what the doctor just told her. "Sarah, are you alright?" Nicole puzzled by the look on Sarah's face. "Huh? Oh yes, I am fine." Sarah said still dazed by what she had been told. "Well, what did the doctor say?" Nicole asked worried because of the look on her face. "Nicole if   you don't mind I would rather not say right now. I first want Joe to know. He will be here tomorrow. After I tell him, I will tell you I promise." Sarah said looking at Nicole.

"I guess, but I hope it's nothing serious." Nicole asked her not knowing what was going on. "It's not, but I have to talk to Joe first. Then I will tell you." Sarah paid her bill and Nicole took her home. After Nicole brought her home she started cleaning the house getting it ready for Joe when he arrived home in the morning. Tomorrow she had  plans to go to the store and pick up ingredients for Joe's favorite dinner. After making her list she decided to go to sleep. She was exhausted from all the events of the day.

Sarah woke the next morning, after eating some saltine crackers for the nausea and went to the store to pick up the ingredients for dinner. Joe was coming home this morning, but she wasn't going to tell him till that night. She had plans for him for earlier in the day. She also picked up a bottle of sparkling cider and some candles. When she got home she quickly put the groceries away and put the cider in the refrigerator.

Sarah looked at her watch. Joe would be here any minute. She looked around to make sure everything was in it's place. She just sat down to relax when Joe walked in the door. Sarah jumped up and raced into his arms. "I am so glad you're home. I missed you so much." Sarah gave him a kiss. "I missed you like crazy. I was tempted to cancel the last two shows so I could come home to you." Joe took her in his arms and kissed her passionately deepening his kiss. "I just wish you didn't have to leave quite so soon, but I could go with you if you want me too." Sarah asked him smiling. "I would love it if you came with me. I know Malvin would love it too because I haven't been able to concentrate knowing you were so far away." He pulled Sarah closer to him and kissed her neck while unbuttoning her blouse. "I want to make love to you Sarah, I have been without you too long." Joe picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. "You read my mind Joe." Sarah quickly removed his shirt and unzipped his pants.

Joe slid his pants off and climbed into bed. He slid her blouse off her shoulders and tossed it on the floor. He glided his hand up her thigh and slid her skirt off in one swift movement. He cupped her breast in his hand and pinched the nipple slightly. Sarah let out a moan and Joe took her other breast in his mouth teasing her with his tongue. Joe looked at her not sure if he heard her right. "Did you say what I think you said?" Joe asked in a surprised tone. "Yes Joe I went to the doctor and he told me that I am going to have a baby, your baby."
Sarah looked at Joe for his reaction, hoping he would be happy. "Oh my god Sarah, that's wonderful. I can't believe it." Joe put his hand on her stomach caressing it, stunned at what she had just told him.
Joe took her in his arms kissing her, and tears began brimming his eyes.

"Sarah, I can't believe it, we're going to have a baby. I am going to be a father." Joe said his voice cracking with emotion. "I know, I can't believe it either. Yesterday I started feeling sick when I was
over at Nicole's and at first I thought it was the paint fumes, but when I was sick the next morning, I thought I was getting the flu, but the doctor did a pregnancy test and it came out positive. He drew
my blood too to make sure the test was accurate. I should be hearing from him anytime." Tears were running down her face, because she was so happy and happy that Joe was excited about the baby.

"I'm going to be a father." Joe repeated shaking his head, but happy about the news. "Did the doctor say when the baby is due?" Joe asked her wiping the tears from her as as well as his own. "No Joe, he wants to get the blood work back and when he does, I will make an appointment with the Obstetrician and he will be able to tell me about when the baby is due." Sarah told him brushing her hand along his hair smiling at him. "I want to know when it is, so I can be there for you sweetheart, okay?" Joe grinned at her still in shock at the news.

"Yes dear I will make sure to set it up for before your next gig." Sarah said her mind racing from all the excitement. "Oh shit, our next gig is in two more days. Do you think you will be able to get in before then?" Joe asked concerned. "I'll see if the doctor can get me in tomorrow if possible." Sarah hoped she could. "I still want you to come with me Sarah for our next concert. We can break the news to the guys then. Boy will they be in for a shock." Joe grinned devilishly imagining their reactions. "I can just picture their faces when you tell them. You will have to tell them to pick their chins up off the floor." Sarah laughed as she thought it out in her head. Just then the phone rang, and Sarah picked it up. "Hello." She said into the phone. "Hello, this is Dr. Henson calling about your blood work Sarah." The doctor told her. "Yes doctor." Sarah said excitedly.

"The test confirms my diagnosis, you are going to have a baby." The doctor exclaimed with a joyful tone. "I can't believe it. That's great. I just told my husband, and he's happy about it." Sarah looked at Joe and he grinned knowing that it was a sure thing now. "I am going to recommend you to a very good Obstetrician by the name of Dr. Edwards, she comes highly recommended and I know you will like her. I
can set up an appointment for you for tomorrow for you if you like?" The doctor asked her. "That would be great." Sarah said her heart pounding. "Great, I will call you back with the time." The doctor said goodbye and hung up.

"Well it's official Mr. Elliott, you are going to be a daddy." Sarah kissed him affectionately. "I still can't believe it. I am very happy about this Sarah. I love you very much and I know you will be a great mom." Joe kissed her and hugged her tight to him. "I love you Joe, and I know you will make a great daddy." Sarah sighed happily. The phone rang again and it was the doctor and he said her appointment was for 9 a.m. the next morning.

The next morning seemed to come very quickly as they got dressed to go to the doctor's appointment. Joe was excited for her as well as nervous. He was racing around trying to find his keys only to discover they were in his pocket the whole time. They finally made it to the doctors and Sarah was able to go right in. Sarah went in the exam room and the nurse took her blood pressure and her temperature then told her to put on the gown and the doctor would be right in. Sarah put on the gown and had just sat down to wait when the doctor came in. "Hello Sarah, I'm Dr. Edwards. How are you today?" The doctor smiled holding out her hand. "I'm fine, was a little nauseous this morning, but it seems to have passed. Sarah couldn't help but grin because of the reason why. "Well that's to be expected of an expectant mother. I am going to examine you and see if we can determine how far along you are, so lay back and I will examine you." The doctor instructed.

"When was your last cycle?" The doctor asked. "I would say three months ago. Maybe longer." Sarah said trying to remember exactly. "That's fine, if you don't know exactly when we can determine it when we give you a ultra sound." The doctor finished her exam and made notes on her chart. Sarah sat up and waited for the doctor to finish writing. "Can my husband come in now? He's out in the waiting room." Sarah exclaimed. "Sure, I will go get him and then I can tell you both at the same time." The doctor left to go get Joe. "Sir, you can come in now." The doctor led him to where Sarah was waiting.

"Well Mr. Elliott I just finished examining Sarah and from what I can tell she is about 3 and a half months along, give or take a couple of weeks. That would make her due in about the middle of September." The doctor said smiling. "That's great, how is Sarah doing?" Joe asked the doctor wanting to make sure everything was okay. "Sarah is doing great. She is perfectly healthy and she should have a very healthy baby. Now if you will excuse me, I need to see my other patients. Sarah, I want you to make another appointment for one month from now, and we will do an ultra sound then, okay?" The doctor asked. "Okay, I will make one on the way out." Sarah jumped down off the table ready to go home. The doctor left and Joe and Sarah walked out with her. "This is all happening so fast. We will be having a baby in about five and a half months." Joe shook his head in wonder. "I know, my head is spinning from all this excitement." Sarah made an appointment with the doctor and they headed home. "Well the gig is
tomorrow, so when we get on the bus we will break the news to the guys okay?" Joe was grinning from ear to ear at the thought of telling Phil, Sav, Rick and Viv the news.

The next morning Joe and Sarah rushed around getting packed for the trip. The guys would be here any minute and they were going to be gone for two weeks. Joe packed the last of his stuff and saw the bus
pulling up outside. "Well they're here Sarah, are you ready?" Joe asked giving her a kiss. "I'm ready, let's go." They walked out the door just as Sav was coming off the bus to come get Joe. "Good morning Joe are you ready to leave?" Sav saw that Sarah had a suitcase as well. "You coming on tour with us Sarah? That's great. Sav grinned at her.

"Yes, I will be with you for the next two weeks. I hope you can put up with me for that long." Sarah smiled at him wickedly. "I know we can, because it will help keep Joe here focused. He can't seem to do
anything right when he's away from you too long. Right Joe?" Sav asked him laughingly. "You are such a smart ass Sav, but he's right, I can't concentrate knowing you are so far away Sarah." Joe kissed her fondly as he reached for her bag.

"You shouldn't be carrying anything heavy young lady." Sav looked at Joe with a puzzled expression, wondering what Joe meant by that. Sav shrugged his shoulders. "Let's go before Malvin decides we're not
coming and cancels our tour." Sav exclaimed getting back on the bus. Joe and Sarah got on the bus and the trip was under way. Joe had whispered to Sarah to go get the sparkling cider and some glasses so
they could make a toast when they told Phil, Rick, Viv and Sav the news. Sarah walked to the back of the bus to find what they would need. Phil looked at Joe with puzzlement. "Joe, what is going through that mind of yours? You look funny, like you have something up your sleeve." Phil said suspiciously. "You'll see my friend, you'll see." Joe just grinned at him and the others looked at him with the same puzzled expressions. Just then Sarah came out with a bottle of sparkling cider and six glasses. She gave each of the guys one and filled it with the amber liquid. Joe took his glass from her and stood up pulling Sarah next to him.

"I'd like to make a toast to my beautiful wife Sarah, who has made me the happiest man on earth because I have just learned that I am going to be a father." Joe raised his glass toward Phil, Rick, Sav, and Viv who all were staring at Joe stunned by what he just sprung on them. "Oh my god Joe, that's great. I'm happy for you buddy." Sav exclaimed giving Joe a hug. "Joe Elliott a father, who would have thought." Phil said grinning. "Congratulations Joe and Sarah." Rick said smiling and giving them both hugs. "Yes congratulations Sarah and Joe. I must say you caught me by surprise." Viv exclaimed still reeling from the news.

"So Joe, when is this little bundle of joy going to make an appearance?" Sav asked looking at Joe curiously. "The doctor said by mid September." Joe was ecstatic. "Do you want a boy or girl Sarah?" Rick asked her wondering. "I don't care as long as it's healthy." Sarah rubbed her stomach happily. "If it's a boy, I hope it looks just like his daddy." Sarah put her arms around Joe hugging him. "Yes, if the baby is a boy, he will probably look just like Joe. Poor kid." Sav said laughing. "You are and always will be a
smart ass Sav." Joe chuckled. The rest of the guys joined in laughing at Sav's remark.

The whole gang including Malvin continued celebrating until they arrived in the next town to fuel up and get some food. After they had filled up both the bus and their stomachs they continued on their way. "I'm so very glad you guys could share this happy occasion with us. You have all been very supportive from the beginning." Joe said to all of them. "That's what friends are for buddy. To be there for one another." Sav stated proudly. "Yes that goes without saying Joe." Phil told him giving him a pat on the back.

"This child will be lucky to have you for parents. I mean every word of that." Rick exclaimed. "Thank you Rick." Sarah said smiling. "Of course you will have to watch him or her when they reach puberty, cause if they are anything like Joe was at that age, you will have to keep them locked in their room." Viv said laughing. Joe gave him the middle finger but was kind of laughing himself.

"Oh yes, the stories I have heard about you Joe, this kid won't be allowed to date until he or she is at least 25." Sarah said half jokingly. "Just you wait till we're alone then I will show you some stories." Joe looked into her eyes with a look that said he wanted to be alone with her right now. Sav didn't miss that look for a minute. He grinned to himself. "Well listen guys I am kind of tired, so we are going to go to sleep till we get to our destination." Joe stretched his arms above his head trying to make it look as if he were really tired.

"Okay Joe, I will knock on the door when we get into town." Sav said smirking at him. "Okay, see you in awhile." Joe put his arm around Sarah and they went to the back of the bus to Joe's room. They entered the room and Joe shut the door behind him, locking it. "I never thought I would get you alone." Joe pulled her into his arms smiling at her. "You are a wicked man Joe Elliott." Sarah grinned at him and kissed him passionately.

"And don't you forget it either." Joe deepened the kiss and started unzipping the dress she was wearing. Joe slid the dress off her and Sarah stepped out of it and kicked it aside. Joe's hands went to her sides and slipped her lace underwear down her legs until they too were laying on top of the dress. "You are so beautiful Sarah." Joe held her closer and began kissing her neck. His kisses sent chills down her spine and left her skin burning from his touch. Joe moved his mouth down to her breasts and teased each nipple with his tongue while pinching each one slightly with his fingers.

Sarah groaned in pleasure as she leaned her head back wanting more of his caresses. "Well I think it's working." Joe kissed her and stood up. "Where do you think you're going?" Sarah protested. "I am going
to take a shower. I will be back love." Joe went in the bathroom and turned on the shower. When Joe got back Sarah was sound asleep. Joe covered her up and crawled in beside her and in no time was fast asleep.

It seemed like Joe had just fallen asleep when there was a knock at the door. "What do you want?" Joe turned over trying to ignore who ever was at the door. "We're in Richmond, we'll be at the hotel in about two minutes." Sav said from behind the door. Joe sat up and looked out the window. It was morning already. It seemed like he had just gone to sleep. He must have slept really sound. Joe bent over and kissed Sarah's cheek. "Sarah, we're here, it's time to get up." Joe smacked her on the ass to get her attention. "Ouch okay, I'm getting up." Sarah sat up and stood to go to the bathroom to take a shower.

"I'm going to go up front, so when you get dressed just meet me up there." Joe gave her a kiss and put on his jeans and went up front to talk to the guys. "Well, well, if it isn't the father to be." Phil said teasingly. "Bite me Phil. It's too damn early in the morning for wise cracks." Joe yawned stretching his arms. "Someone didn't get enough sleep, I wonder why." Sav grinned at Joe thoroughly enjoying giving him a hard time. "If it wasn't so true, I'd kick your ass for that remark." Joe said with a smirk.

The bus pulled into the hotel just as Sarah came out with a towel still wrapped around her head from the shower. "Good morning everyone." Sarah said to everyone as she tried stiffling a yawn. "Morning." Sav said trying to hide a smirk. They all went into the hotel and checked in.

After Malvin had them registered they went upstairs and went to each of their rooms. The gig was that night and they decided to get a little rest before heading over to the arena to rehearse. Sav, and Phil had one room, Rick and Viv another and Joe and Sarah had one room to themselves. Malvin was in a room smack in the middle of all of them. He preferred it that way so we would all be within yelling distance when he liked to wake us up. Joe was quoted as saying that Malvin was the most annoying alarm clock known to man.

After Malvin had told us that he would be waking us in about 2 hours he went to his room to make some phone calls. Joe and Sarah went into their room and Joe immediately collapsed on the bed letting out a sigh of relief for he was glad to be in a room that didn't move. Sarah laid down beside him and put her arm over Joe's chest. He pulled her to him and kissed her forehead. "I didn't get much sleep last night at all. I wonder whose fault that was." Joe grinned at her wickedly.

"My fault, who took advantage of who?" Sarah grinned at him giggling. "I guess we are both to blame for that one." Joe chuckled to himself. Joe and Sarah closed their eyes and was asleep in no time.  It didn't seem like two hours had passed but Joe knew that it did when he heard Malvin outside the door. "Okay Joe, it's time to get up. Get your lazy butt out of bed NOW!" Malvin bellowed from the other side of the door and then walked on to wake up the rest of the guys. "When Malvin wakes us up I always immediately ask myself why I hired that Tyrant." Joe sat up in bed yawning and stretched his arms and grinning. "Maybe because he is the best tour manager out there and because he knows how to get your lazy butt out of bed." Sarah laughed.

"I'll deal with you later young lady, right now I have to get showered before Malvin decides to break the door down because I didn't get ready fast enough." "I'll make sure you follow through with your threat Joe Elliott." Sarah kissed him and got up to change. "I always keep my word Sarah." Joe smacked her behind and went in to take a shower. After arriving at the arena they saw that the roadies had already set up the equipment and were currently fixing the lights. They all walked down the hall to their dressing rooms to see what clothes had been brought over to change into during the show. Malvin went to see how everything was coming along on stage. After checking to make sure everything they needed was there
they went back out to the stage to begin sound checks.

Sarah sat in the front row to watch them rehearse. It had been four months now since the doctor had told her she was pregnant. She was watching them go through Promises when she felt something in her belly. She put her hand on her stomach and felt it and she felt it again. The baby had kicked. Sarah sat there not moving and she felt tears brim her eyes. Joe saw this and immediately came over to her concerned. "What's the matter Sarah, are you okay?" Joe's eyes expressed his worry. "I'm fine, put your hand here. Feel that?" Joe put his hand where she had told him and he could feel a little pressure against his hand. "That's the baby kicking Joe." Sarah said excitedly.

"Oh my god. I can really feel it." Joe was in awe at what he felt as he continued to hold his hand there. "This is amazing." Joe smiled his voice full of emotion. "That's your son or daughter in there. Won't be long till we can hold him or her." Sarah hugged Joe tightly feeling very emotional. Phil and the rest of the guys were looking at Joe and Sarah and were wondering what was going on.

Joe grinned over at them. "I just felt my child kick." "That's great Joe, can we get on with rehearsal now?" Sav said teasingly but happy for Joe. They continued with the rehearsal and didn't get done till almost show time. The arena began filling with people very fast and it was soon packed. They ran on the stage and immediately went into their first song Demolition Man. The audience was revved up and the female fans went crazy when Joe and the guys went into their song All Night. Sarah watched from the side of the stage with Malvin laughing at the frenzy Joe was causing while singing that song. They did about eighteen songs all together finishing with an encore of Paper Sun, Let's Get Rocked and Love Bites. Joe rushed off stage and immediately took Sarah into his arms and kissed her. "I was singing that song for you love." Joe whispered into her ear.

"Oh you were were you? By the reactions of all those females, I thought you were singing it for them." Sarah said jokingly. "I may have given them a thrill, but that's nothing compared to what I plan to do to you tonight." Joe said seductively. "Hmm, I can hardly wait." Joe took Sarah's hand and they went out to the tour bus that would take them back to the hotel for the night before heading out to the next gig.

Once back at the hotel, Joe and Sarah went to Phil and Sav's room for awhile to wind down and talk about the next gig. "So Joe are you planning to get more sleep so you won't be quite so grumpy tomorrow?" Sav asked him grinning ear to ear. "I never wake up grumpy what are you talking about?" Joe said half seriously. The rest of the guys cracked up at Joe's remark. "If anyone is Mr. Grumpy it's Malvin here." Joe said looking at him smiling.

"The only reason I am ever grumpy is because I have to put up with your ass all day." Malvin told him trying to look serious, but a laugh escaped him and he went into hysterics at the sound of all the guys cracking up. "Malvin you're fired." Joe said and started laughing along with the rest of them. "Okay guys, that's enough. My sides are hurting, so stop this." Viv said trying to get his laughing under control.

"Okay, I will see you comedians in the morning." Joe stood up and Sarah and him left to go to their room. "Goodnight Joe." Sav said between laughs. They could still hear them laughing as he and Sarah entered their room and shut the door. "Malvins quite a character isn't he?" Sarah asked laughing at what Malvin had said. "He's something alright." Joe said with a grin. "Now about what you said earlier Sarah Elliott. You said I was lazy huh? I guess I will have to prove you wrong." Joe pulled her to him and looked into her eyes.

"I guess you will, because I want to be wrong this time." Sarah kissed his lips. Joe returned her kiss deepening it as he picked her up in his arms and walked to the bed laying her down and removing his
shirt. Sarah undid his pants and slid them down his legs till Joe stepped out of them and took her in his arms once more. He slid his hand up her leg to her thighs and underneath her skirt. With one hand he slid her panties down around her bottom and swiftly slid them off tossing them aside. He returned his hand to her thigh and moved his hand between her legs and parted her thighs.

Sarah let out a moan as he began caressing her with his hand. He began kissing her neck and slid his other hand down her blouse and rubbed her nipple with his thumb. He stopped long enough to remove
her blouse and her black lace bra and unzipped her skirt and slid it off. He walked over to the dresser and brought back the bucket of ice that was there and scooped out one piece. "Sarah, don't get me started again, or we will never make it to the next gig and then the guys will look for a new singer." Joe pulled away from her before she sent his good sense right out the window. "Hmm to have you home all the time that would be heaven." Sarah said evilly.

"I am going to take a shower before I lose my control and ravage you all over again." Joe stood up and kissed her fondly and went in the bathroom. "You want me to join you?" Sarah eyed his naked body as he
walked away from him. "I don't think so woman. If I let you we will never leave this room. I think I'll make this a cold shower." Joe grinned at her and turned the water on.
 

Joe and Sarah met up with Malvin and the guys some minutes later and they checked out and headed for the bus. The next three months went by quickly and Sarah decided to stay on the tour with them for the
remainder of that three months. They went from town to town playing concerts for what seemed non stop. They got a few days rest now and then and Sarah spent more time staying on the tour bus resting for she was in her last trimester and she tired more easily.

They had four more concerts to do before they started the last leg of the tour and that part was going to last another six months but they weren't due to start that part till the end of September. The last four concerts were stretched over the next two months. Malvin had done this on purpose to give the guys plenty of rest before the last leg of the tour. By the end of the second leg of the tour Sarah had two weeks before the baby was due.

In between gigs Joe took Sarah home so she could get ready for the arrival of the baby. With Nicole's help she turned the guest bedroom into a nursery equipped with everything the baby would need. Joe was due home in about three days where he would get to stay until the baby arrived. Sarah was ecstatic. Her and Nicole finished the nursery and Sarah sat down in the rocking chair to look at the completed room. Joe and Sarah had purchased most of the items together in between gigs and now they were ready for when they brought the baby home.

They had put wallpaper up and it had the Disney Babies all over it with baby mickey and baby minnie sleeping on little clouds. There was a solid oak crib with a matching changing table stocked with diapers.
Sarah had purchased the glider rocker for those nights when she would be up rocking the baby to sleep after 2 a.m. feedings. Finally the room was complete with a little musical mobile hanging over the crib
and a dresser filled with baby clothes. Sarah rubbed her hand over her belly and smiled. Soon she would be able to hold their little baby. "I will be glad when this little one arrives. I am so anxious to hold him or her, and I will be glad when I don't look as big as a house." Sarah said chuckling.

"Oh come on Sarah, you are not as big as a house." Nicole said grinning. "The doctor told me that I have gained an unusual amount of weight for just one little baby. She called me this morning and wants to schedule another ultra sound because the first one was not conclusive." Sarah tried standing and had trouble so Nicole helped her up. "I'm sure that she will just tell you that you will just have a very healthy baby that is going to grow up to be just like daddy. I mean look at Joe he's very tall and muscular. This baby will probably take after him." Nicole told her smiling.

"I'm sure you're right. Joe will be home later today. He convinced Malvin to postpone the concert for another 2 weeks because he wants to be here every minute so he can be here when I go into labor."
Sarah walked over to the changing table and arranged the items so that they were more easily accessible. She bent to get the sheet to put on the changing pad when she felt a twinge. Sarah gasped and held her stomach. "Are you okay Sarah?" Nicole asked coming to her side concerned. Sarah stood there for a minute closing her eyes till the pain passed. "I'm fine, but I think I just had a contraction." Sarah let out a breath she'd been holding when the pain hit.

"This baby may not wait two weeks to be born." Sarah stood still for a minute to see if she was going to have another one. Satisfied that she wasn't she put the sheet on the changing pad. "Well in case you have more I will stay with you at least till Joe gets home." Nicole said firmly. "Okay, that will be nice. I am going to the kitchen and have a glass of milk. Would you like anything?" Sarah asked as she left the bedroom. "No, I'm fine." Nicole walked with her and turned off the light as she left the room. "Does Sav know you are over here?" Sarah asked pouring herself some milk and then returning the jug to the refrigerator. "Yes he said he would come back here with Joe and the rest of the guys rather than having Malvin drop him off at home." Nicole explained.

Just then the phone rang and Sarah picked it up. "Hello." Sarah said into the phone. "Hello Sarah this is Dr. Edwards. I am calling to tell you to come in tomorrow at 10 a.m. for your ultra sound. Is this convenient for you?" The doctor asked. "Yes that would be fine. Dr. Edwards, just a few minutes ago I had a contraction. I haven't had one since, but I thought I should tell you." Sarah told her. "Well I know I told you that it would be two weeks, but it is possible it may be sooner, but you will be experiencing contractions once in awhile now because you are so close to delivery." The doctor explained.

"Okay doctor I will see you in the morning." Sarah said goodbye and hung up. "I have an appointment at 10 tomorrow." Sarah frowned now worried about this second ultra sound. "Don't worry Sarah I'm sure there's nothing to worry about." Nicole said trying to convince Sarah that everything would be fine. "Thanks Nicole I'm sure it is, but I guess I'm already sounding like a worried mother." Sarah grinned at
the thought of being a mom.

"It's perfectly natural." Nicole said going to the kitchen and pouring herself some coffee. "Listen Nicole, I'm kind of tired so I am going to go lay down for awhile." Sarah stood up but not easily and walked toward the bedroom. "You go rest and I will just watch some television." Nicole said walking back in and plopping down on the couch to turn the tv on. "Okay, see you in a little bit." Sarah went in and laid down and was asleep almost immediately. She was awakened some time later to the sound of voices in the living room. Sarah got up to see who was here. "Hi love did you sleep well." Joe asked smiling at her. "When did you get here and why didn't you wake me up?" Sarah said happy to see Joe home. "You were sleeping so
peacefully I didn't want to wake you." Joe took her in his arms and kissed her.

Sarah looked out the window and saw the sun was beginning to set. "How long have I been asleep?" Sarah asked in a puzzled expression. "You slept for about five hours." Nicole told her. "I must have been more tired than I thought." Sarah said yawning. "How are you feeling Sarah?" Sav asked her putting his arm around Nicole. "I'm fine, but I did have a contraction earlier today." Sarah said looking down at her stomach. "You did, are you having any now?" Joe asked worriedly.

"No Joe, not now. The doctor called and we have an appointment for 10 tomorrow morning for an ultra sound." Sarah told him. "Why does the doctor feel you need another one Sarah?" Joe asked her putting his
arms around her and rubbing his hands over her stomach. "She just wants to make sure that everything is going according to schedule I guess." Sarah's voice betrayed her confidence on her last words. "Sarah is there something wrong?" Joe's voice was filled with worry.

"I don't think so Joe, she is just a little concerned about my weight gain." Sarah told him. "Well I will convinced when I see that ultra sound tomorrow." Joe said still a little worried. "Joe you are really getting into this father thing." Have you two decided on names?" Sav asked grinning at his friends enthusiasm over his little blessed event. "Well we were thinking Jennifer Lyn if it's a girl and Joseph Thomas Elliott Jr. if it's a boy." Joe stated proudly, loving the idea of having a son named after him. "Just what we need, another Joe running around." Sav rolled his eyes and laughed. "Very funny smart ass." Joe said with a chuckle. "Listen Joe, Nicole and are going to go, so I will see you in the morning." Sav said patting Joe on the back as he and Nicole walked out the door. "Okay buddy, see you in the morning after we get back from the doctor." Joe waved to them as they headed for home and shut the door after they had disappeared
down the driveway.

Joe turned to Sarah taking her in his arms and kissed her passionately. "God how I missed you Sarah, and this little one." Joe said rubbing her stomach. "We missed you too daddy." Sarah grinned at him. "Wow, that still overwhelms me that I am going to be a dad." Joe smiled at Sarah happily. "I am still adjusting to becoming a Mom." Sarah's eyes lit up whenever she thought of this. "You realize that once this little one arrives we will be up every two hours for feedings, and then there's the changing diapers." Sarah grinned at Joe when he made a face at the mention of changing diapers.

"I'll leave that part up to you Mom." Joe said hopefully. "Oh no, I am not going to change all the diapers in this house. I want you changing just as many as I do." Sarah told him in a tone that she meant every word she said. "Okay, I will do my part but I don't have to like it." Joe kissed her again and held her close to him. "Who would have thought Joe Elliott of Def Leppard as changing diapers." Sarah laughed as she tried picturing it. "As long as the fans don't find out it's okay with me." Joe said with a smirk. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Sarah told him crossing her heart as proof.

"Now Mr. Elliott what would you like for dinner?" Sarah said starting toward the kitchen. "Not on your life woman. I am going to cook dinner and you are going to sit on that couch and put your feet up." Joe steered her to the couch and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
 

"Okay, you don't have to ask me twice." Sarah sat on the sofa and watched as Joe made dinner. Some minutes later he told her it was ready and she got up to go to the table when she suddenly stopped as a contraction hit her. Sarah put her hand on her belly and had to stop for a minute. "Sarah are you okay?" Joe rushed over to her his eyes full of worry. "I just had another contraction. It's the second one today." Sarah closed her eyes waiting for the contraction to pass.

"The baby's not due for two more weeks I thought." Joe put his hand to her stomach and felt the baby kicking. "You tell that to this little one. I think this baby will arrive when it wants and not a minute before." The pain started to subside and Sarah breathed a sigh of relief and again started toward the table. "Has it passed?" Joe asked still concerned. "Yes I am fine now. Let's eat." Sarah sat down and started in on the wonderful dinner Joe had prepared.

Joe had made mashed potatoes and gravy with cooked carrots and meatloaf. "This is wonderful Joe. I should let you cook more often." Sarah said smiling at him. "I'd be happy to anytime love." Joe smiled
back at her. Sarah finished her dinner and stood to take the plate to the kitchen and sat quickly as another contraction was overcoming her. Joe stood up quickly took the plate from her and sat it on the table and took Sarah's hand in his and sat her down. "I very much doubt this baby will wait two more weeks." Sarah inhaled and exhaled waiting for the pain to subside.

Joe held her hand looking at her face waiting for her pain to ease. "Is the contraction over?" Joe asked a feeling of anxiousness steadily rising inside his chest. "I think so, but I am going to lay down for awhile. I suddenly feel tired." Sarah stood up again with Joe's help once the pain had gone. "Okay, I will join you in a minute, I just want to put the food away." Joe kissed her and she went into lay down. By the time Joe came into the bedroom Sarah was sleeping and he lay beside her and put his hand to her belly and smiled to himself knowing it wouldn't be long now. Joe soon fell asleep as well and neither woke until the next morning. Sarah woke up and looked at Joe sleeping beside her and bent and gave him a kiss. Joe opened his eyes and looked up at her. "Good morning love. How are you feeling?" Joe brushed her cheek with his hand. "I'm fine, but we had better get going if we are going to make it to the doctor's in time." Sarah stood up and walked to the dresser to find something to wear.

Joe rose and put on his jeans and slipped on a shirt. "I'm kind of nervous about this appointment. I hope the doctor doesn't think there's a problem." Joe came up to her and put his arms around her. "I'm sure there isn't but we will wait and see what the ultra sound says." Sarah walked in the closet and put on her coat and her and Joe headed out. Once they arrived at the doctor's they were able to go right in. "How are you feeling today Sarah? Anymore contractions?" Doctor Edwards asked and felt Sarah's stomach while
listening to the baby's heart rate with her stethoscope.

"Yes I had three or four after the one I told you about and they were a lot closer together." Sarah told her. "You will be feeling them more and more as your due date gets closer. This baby may decide to make an appearance ahead of schedule." The doctor made notes on her chart and told Sarah to lie back. The doctor examined her and made some more notes. "Well Sarah you are beginning to dilate and you are about 2 centimeters dilated." The doctor told her with a smile.

"Oh my god. I didn't think that it would be this soon." Sarah put her hands to her face and her eyes brimmed with tears. "Now let's get to the ultra sound and take a look at your baby." The doctor left the
room to go get the equipment. "Can you believe it Joe, our baby could be here anytime?" Sarah smiled happily at him. "I can't wait love. I love you so much and you are going to be a terrific mother." Joe
kissed her lips as his own eyes filled with tears. The doctor came back in and began hooking Sarah up to the ultra sound machine. Joe and Sarah looked at the monitor watching their baby on the screen. As they were looking the doctor became puzzled as she looked at Sarah's monitor. "What's wrong doctor?" Sarah asked noticing that expression on her face. "I don't know how we missed that with your first ultra sound." The doctor shifted it around looking at the baby from a different angle.

"Is there something wrong doctor?" Joe beginning to panic. "Not at all Mr. Elliott. I am happy to tell you that not only is your baby fine, but that you will be having twins." The doctor looked at them and grinned. "Oh my god, twins."Sarah began crying as what the doctor told them sunk in. Joe sat and watched the screen his mouth open stunned at what he just found out. "I can't believe it. We are going to have twins." Joe was in shock but happy at the news.

"How come you didn't see this on the first ultra sound and from her exams?" Joe asked her trying to make sense of it all. "Sometimes the other baby can be hidden behind the first one and we only pick up one child on the monitor or from listening to the heart beat, but I see two very strong healthy babies in there that could be here anytime." The doctor removed the monitor and turned off the screen. "This is unbelievable. I never dreamed of the possibility of twins." Sarah said still trying to absorb it all. "I never imagined it either Sarah, but two will be twice as wonderful" Joe kissed her affectionately and put his hand on her stomach and kissed it.

"Let me know if you feel that way when you're up every two hours with those little one's feeding them and rocking them to sleep." The doctor said to them grinning. "I won't mind at all. I am just happy that there wasn't anything wrong." Sarah wiped the tears from her eyes and hugged Joe tightly. "Okay Sarah go home and get some rest and I will see you in one week unless those two little one's decide to come earlier." The doctor left them to take it all in as she went to tend to her other patients. "Let's get you home Mom and into bed. You will need all the rest you can get now that we just learned about having twins." Joe shook his head in disbelief as he helped Sarah up and they left to go home.

Sarah and Joe arrived home to find Phil, Rick, Sav, and Viv there waiting for them. Joe jumped out of the car and went around to help Sarah out of the car. "Hi guys, sorry we're late, but we have a very good reason. Come in the house and I will tell you all about it." Joe put his arm around Sarah and lead them in the house. Joe got them all some drinks and sat down to tell them the news. "So what's this all about Joe? You're acting strange, at least stranger than usual." Sav said taking a sip of his drink. "We just found out we're having twins." Joe said grinning. Sav choked on the drink he was sipping.

"What did you say?" Sav asked trying to stop coughing from swallowing the liquid the wrong way when Joe said twins. "Oh my god Joe, congratulations." Rick said shaking Joe's hand in amazement. "Thank you." Joe grinned at them never feeling this happy. "I couldn't believe it either when the doctor told us." Sarah exclaimed. "That is great Joe. Now you will have to double up on the touring to support the two little bundles of joy." Phil said laughing.

"I can't believe you're having twins. Don't ever give me news like that when I am drinking something." Sav said smiling now that the coughing fit subsided. "The doctor said it could be anytime now and Sarah's been having contractions." Joe grinned from ear to ear he was so happy. "Well be sure to call us when the time is here cause we want to be there for you guys." Viv told Joe firmly. "I will call all of you when the time is here. Now let's go rehearse that is if I can function after all of this." Joe got up to head down to the studio. The guys got up and headed downstairs. "Sarah you go lie down and get some rest, but if you feel anymore contractions call me on the intercom and I will be right up." Joe smiled at her and gave her a
kiss. "Okay, I am beat so I will see you in awhile." Sarah returned his kiss and headed for the bedroom. Joe went to the studio where the guys were all set up and ready to go. Joe picked up the guitar and started in on Miss you in a heartbeat.

They had been rehearsing for about two hours when Sarah came on the intercom.

"Joe you better get up here. I am having contractions and my water just broke." Joe rushed up the stairs with the guys following right behind him. "Sarah is this it? Are you going to have the babies now?" Joe said   taking her hand. "I was sleeping and got woke up when my water broke and I immediately started having contractions." Sarah inhaled as another contraction hit stronger than ever. "Phil can you drive us to the hospital I don't think I can drive." Joe said his voice filled with emotion. "Of course let's get her out to the car." Phil took Sarah's other hand and him and Joe lead her out to the car.

"Sav would you get Sarah's bag and lock the door behind you?" Joe said as he helped Sarah into the car. "Of course, we will meet you guys there." Sav went into the house to get Sarah's bag and Viv, and Rick got in their cars to head to the hospital. By the time they arrived at the hospital Sarah's contractions were closer together and stronger. Joe held her hand the whole time as she was being wheeled into the hospital.  Rick, Viv, and Sav were already there waiting for them. Joe approached the nurses desk. "Hello my wife Sarah is in labor. We already registered. The name is Elliott. Sarah Elliott." Joe told her.
 

"Here it is. I will take Sarah to the labor room now, so if you would follow me you can get in a gown and then the doctor will be with you shortly." The nurse started wheeling Sarah down the hall with Joe beside her. "See you in awhile guys." Joe grinned at them waving as he walked down the hall. "We'll be here Joe." Phil said smiling. The nurse wheeled Sarah into the room and Joe helped her get on the bed. "I'll get you a gown to put on Sarah and one for your husband." The nurse left them alone and Joe sat beside Sarah holding her hand tightly.

"Oh Joe here comes another contraction." Sarah squeezed his hand tightly as the contraction gripped her. "Remember your breathing Sarah." Joe breathed with her to help her through the contraction. It began to ease up a bit. "That one was the strongest yet." Sarah breathed a sigh of relief and laid her head back on the pillow. Joe let go of her hand to get a washcloth and soak it in cold water. He came back and sat down putting the cloth on Sarah's forehead. "Okay Joe hear comes another one." Sarah's face contorted with pain as her contraction came on and she gripped Joe's hand very tight.

Sarah sucked in her breath and let it out slowly as the contraction subsided. "Would you get me some ice chips for me to suck on my mouth is so dry?" Sarah said licking her lips. "Sure love, be right back." Joe walked out to get some ice for her. Joe found some ice and returned to the room. He took out one piece and placed it in her mouth. "Thank you Joe." Sarah smiled at him. "I love you Sarah and I would do anything for you." Joe smiled back at her. "Then take my hand because here comes another contraction. Oh! That hurts." Sarah held on tightly to Joe's hand as the contraction came on and lasted a good deal longer than the rest of them.
 
 

Joe looked at her his eyes brimming with tears at the sight of her in so much pain. He wiped her forehead with the cool cloth and continued to hold her hand. Sarah's grip on his hand eased as the contraction passed. Just then the doctor came in carrying Sarah's chart. "Hello Sarah, looks like you are in full labor. Let's check you out to see how far dilated you are." The doctor put on some gloves and sat down at the foot of the bed to exam Sarah. "Do you need me to leave?" Joe asked beginning to stand. "No you can stay if you like. How far apart are the contractions Sarah?" The doctor asked her after she finished her exam. "I would say about five minutes. I started a couple of hours ago." Sarah explained.

"That's fine. You are doing wonderfully. You are about 6 centimeters dilated and are progressing normally. The contractions will get stronger from now on, but I'd say it won't be long now. I will be
back to check on you in a few minutes." The doctor made some final notes and left the room. "You hear that Joe. You will be a father anytime now." Sarah grinned at him. "I can't wait love." Joe kissed her hand. "Oh god here comes another one." Joe held her hand in both of his as she went through the contraction her face moistened with sweat as it hit her full force.

Sarah laid back after the contraction passed panting from its force. "I am so glad you're here with me Joe." She said trying to catch her breath. "I wouldn't be anywhere else love." Joe stood up and kissed her forehead. Another contraction hit when the doctor came back in the room to see how she was doing. The doctor stood by and waited for the contraction to pass. "Are they coming closer together now Sarah?" The doctor asked as she sat down to see how far she had progressed.

"Yes they are and they are very strong." Sarah said exhaling deeply. Well you are another centimeter dilated. Probably in another hour or so we will move you to delivery. I will be back in about 15 minutes
to see how you are doing." She made some final notes and left. "Another hour, I don't know if I will make it another hour. I am exhausted already." Sarah closed her eyes the last contraction more tiring than the one before. "It won't be long love. It will be worth it when those babies finally arrive and you are holding them in your arms." Joe said wiping her forehead with the cool cloth. "I know it will be. I love you so much and I can't wait for you to hold your children in your arms." Sarah put her hand on his cheek and smiled at him.
 

Sarah closed her eyes as another contraction hit and Joe held her hand and talked her through it. Sarah's contractions were now every three minutes and very strong. The doctor came in as Sarah went into another contraction and checked her out as the contraction passed. "Well Sarah I think you're ready to head to delivery. You are now 10 centimeters dilated. I will have the nurse come in and take you two down." The doctor left to go get the nurse. "Sarah this is so great. I can't wait to meet our children." Joe kissed her on the lips and grinned at her. He felt really nervous now and he trembled a little.

"Oh Joe I love you so much. This is the best day of my life, next to marrying you of course." Sarah's face was streaming with tears as she looked at him. "I love you too Sarah and I would do everything all over again exactly the same just so I can experience it all over again." Joe kissed her hand and just then the nurse came into take Sarah to delivery. The doctor came in just as Sarah had been prepared for the delivery. "Let's get those babies delivered shall we?" The doctor smiled at her and sat down ready to bring the babies into the world.

Joe had put on a sterile gown and sat at Sarah's head to help guide her through the delivery. "Okay Sarah on your next contraction I want you to push okay?" The doctor instructed. "Okay, one's coming now." Sarah tightened her grip on Joe's hand as she pushed. "That's fine Sarah you're doing great." The doctor looked at Sarah as another contraction hit and Joe told her to push. Sarah sat up and pushed as another contraction gripped her and Joe put his arm around her talking softly to her. "I see the head Sarah. Give me a real good push this time." The doctor held her hands down ready to bring the baby out as Sarah pushed down hard. Sarah let out a breath as she stopped pushing. "Congratulations Sarah and Joe you have a little girl." The doctor told them as the baby began to cry.

"Oh Joe we have a daughter." Sarah began crying as the doctor brought her to them to see. "The nurses will clean her up while we get this second child delivered okay Sarah?" Sarah nodded her head looking at
their daughter as the nurses cleaned her up. "Okay Sarah now I need you to give me another good push." The doctor instructed. "Okay doctor." Sarah sat up and pushed down as the contraction hit and squeezed Joe's hand.

"That's great Sarah. Give me another good one now." Sarah pushed down again longer this time. "The head is crowning Sarah. A couple of more pushes should do it." The doctor readied herself for the baby as
Sarah pushed again and the baby's head appeared. "Okay Sarah give me one more push." The doctor looked down as Sarah gave another push. "That's it Sarah. Push!" Joe told her tightening his grip. "It's a boy." The doctor said as the baby began to cry. Sarah's emotions overflowed as tears ran down her face. She couldn't believe that they had both a son and a daughter.

Joe's face flooded with tears as he looked upon his children his heart filling with pride. "Oh Sarah we have been blessed twice. A son and a daughter. I love you so much." "I love you too Joe." Sarah said her eyes once more flooding with tears.
 

The nurse brought their daughter over to Sarah and put her in her arms. Joe and Sarah looked down at their daughter and smiled at her talking softly to her. Joe took her tiny hand in his and rubbed his thumb along her hand amazed at how tiny she seemed. The nurse brought their son over and held him out to Joe. "Would you like to hold your son Mr. Elliott?" The nurse smiled at him as he took him in his arms. "Hi there little guy. How are you doing?" Joe smiled proudly at him as he held him rocking him back and fourth and talking softly to him. Joe brought him to Sarah and Sarah looked at Joe holding his son and her heart swelled with pride.

"Oh Joe they are both so beautiful." Sarah reached out and touched him with her hand. "Of course they are, they take after their beautiful mother." Joe said kissing her with all the love he had for his family. Joe put him in her arms and bent down and kissed both his children on the forehead and watched with pleasure at Sarah holding them both. "Jennifer Lyn and Joseph Thomas Elliott Jr." Joe said proudly as he looked at them his voice cracking with emotion.

Sarah kissed Joe her heart and filled with the joy of how much she loved him and now they were a family. "Don't you think you better go tell the guys? They are probably worried sick." Sarah said as she looked down at her little one's. "Yes, I will go tell them right now." Joe stood up and kissed Sarah and his children and left to go tell them. Sav looked up when he heard Joe come through the door. "I have a son and a daughter." Joe said proudly. "Congratulations Joe. I am very happy for you." Sav said grinning. "Yes congratulations buddy." Phil said shaking his hand. "That goes for the rest of us too buddy." Rick said grinning. "Yes, congratulations daddy." Viv told him smiling. "I'm going back in now. Thanks for being here for me guys." Joe said waving to them as he left the room. He came back in and took his children in his arms and smiled down at them with great pride.
