| Skins Each skin should be submitted in it's own .zip file with a name relevant to the skin. (A Xena skin would be sent in a file called xena.zip). It should include the relevant files for the skin, along with a text file (readme.txt) , your e-mail address, the skin name (Xena for example) and a brief description for the database. You must also include a screen shot from SimShow to preview the skin. The guidelines for the preview might seem fussy, but it is important that your preview follows these rules for them to fit into the database without looking out of place. And anyway, if you are talented enough to create a skin, then a screen capture should be the least of your worries :) Please take a screen capture to include the whole body, including feet and hands, preferably in a 'standing still' pose. It must have a white background and be saved as a .jpg image. Just check out the skins pages for examples. An even easier way to get a skin image to submit is to have a Sim in your game created with your skin. Go to the family album which contains that Sim and you will have a perfect image there. The Sim will be standing with hands on hips. Right click this image and choose 'save as'. Put it somewhere you can find it, rename the file to match your skin name (xena.jpg), and submit as normal. Walls & Floors Walls & Floors can be sent in batches in .zip files. As well as the .wll and .flr files I need the original images saved as .jpg's to use as previews. (.bmp images are much bigger files). I also need a reame.txt file included to give me either your name or creator name and e-mail. Furniture Transmogrified or completely new objects can now be submitted to the site. Wall paintings are not accepted, as peoples tastes differ widely, and they can easily be created with Art Studio. Each item should be sent with 3 files, the objects file (.iff), a preview picture (.jpg) and a (.txt) text file containing the following information: ? Creator Name ? Creator e-mail ? Cost ? Statistics, i.e. Comfort 7 Energy 7 ? Category (Surfaces, Electronics etc.) ? Transmogrified or New object ? Description (The in-game object description) ? Will the expansion pack be required? (T-Mogged file based on an expansion pack object) Most of this information can be cut and pasted from the properties box in SimTransmogrifier. The preview picture must also be taken from the Transmogrifier view, not a screen shot from the game, and should be saved in .jpg format. (Just look at the existing furniture objects in the database to see how they are done). I strongly advise getting a unique cookie for your objects if you have not done so already. So, assuming that your furniture is called My Sofa, you would send me 3 files, 1. mysofa*****.iff - (***** =Your unique cookie number) 2. mysofa.jpg 3. mysofa.txt Feel free so send as many objects as you like in a mail. If they are named correctly, they are easy enough to work with. Please ensure the previews and text details are correct. Errors may result in your work not being published, it depends on whether I have time to correct them. |
