Examples of the [Polar > Rotate > Flip Vertical] class of ICTS

The images on this page are visualizations of the three stage ICTS [Polar > Rotate > Flip Vertical]. At small rotation angles the set contracts relatively quickly, converging on an attractor already quite different from that produced by the two step ICTS [Polar > Flip Vertical]. The rotation operation breaking the left/right symmetry of the set is amplified by repeated application of the algorithym to produce a qualitative difference between the left and right portions of the atractor of [Polar > Rotate 15 degrees > Flip Vertical]. One can see how by the last image [Polar > Rotate 165 degrees > Flip Vertical] the flip and the rotation are almost canceling each other out to produce an image reminiscent of Form 0 again.

Polar > Rotate 15 degrees > Flip

Polar > Rotate 30 degrees > Flip Polar > Rotate 60 degrees > Flip
Polar > Rotate 75 degrees > Flip Polar > Rotate 90 degrees > Flip Polar > Rotate 105 degrees > Flip
Polar > Rotate 120 degrees > Flip Polar > Rotate 135 degrees > Flip Polar > Rotate 165 degrees > Flip
