Well the sex pistols played their first gig in six years on the 27th of july at crystal palace sports arena to 25,000 fans. The gig named "pistols at the palace" was a complete suecess...
apart from two support band The Rapture and some other shite lot who didnt even let us know who they were and also the DJ of the day who played jungle music and r&b to a crowd of die hard punks and metal heads,he was lucky he wasnt dragged of stage and killed. The came two great preformances from the Irish punk band the Dropkick murphys and also ..and you will know us by the trail of dead.
But the complete hands down preformance was from the sex pistols. They showed that despite the fact they havnt played in six years they were still the best.
John took several pop shots at the media which he had a complete right to do. One of his pices was "im a fat bastard and steve cant tune his guitar so why did ye all show up?" a shot at magazines such as NME who decided to spend their coverage of the pistols gig calling them "fat" "flabby" "tired" "sad"...etc. Thoses wankers especially STEPHEN WALLS the shite music critic who wrote that want to be pice of critism on NME.com. The pice is completely ridiclous and im beginng to wonder was he actully there or did he just send some one to record it from the grass mounds outside. The pistols were great and everyone there that day would completely agree it was a great day all round.
John sounded great and sounded perfect and steve,paul and glen played perfectly prhaps even better than they did in the 70's. The fact that NME has chosen to concentrate on the apperance of the band instead of the music and the preformance shows us that they have no understanding of what ounk was all about it may matter if britiny spears gain weight because she is a sex symbol within the system, a system the pistols were against and are not apart of. Stephen wells should stick to covering bands such as S club 7, oh but wait he cant because all their gigs or cds playing backstage with them mouthing it and their all young fit rich kids yet the pistols all in their 40's can pull of a two hour punk concert perfectly even thoug its been six years since they had a tour and 25 years since they had an album...

Well more bad news MOJO gave the pistols a bad review calling it a bad concert at a half full stadium,finishing with "we the british public deserve more from you" now that comment stuck in my head, why the fuck do the british public deserve more from the pistols than one amazing SOLD OUT gig in a very nice sporting ground, not the falling to bits one they describe. The brithish public arnt they the same people who called for the pistols to be hanged at traitors gate, who prevented their concerts from taking place, who attacked them regulary and left john with lasting injuries, who made sure GOD SAVE THE QUEEN wasnt the no. 1 song at the time of the jubille and so on. YES they are. So why the fuck do the british public deserve anything??? THEY DONT but the pistols still came back and played a concert for their own jubille not the queens.
