The Penguin

Real Name: Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot

Age: 40's

Height: 5'0"

Weight: 190 pound aprox

Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot first entered the criminal world as a killer. He has a great fondness for any specimen of birds, and as in the 60s T.V. series he associates many of his crimes with birds, as the Catwoman does with cats. His manner is very gentle, and he is the aristocrat of crime. He is also known for his mass collection of umbrellas, which vary from machine gun types to those which spray sleeping gas. His crimes are to him art.

Oswald was the son of a family who owned a bird shop, and from an early age developed a fondness of them. Unfortunately he had suffered a deformity which left him with an eerie resemblance to a penguin, which thus became a cruel nickname. His father died from phenomena because, in his mothers eyes he didnt carry his umbrella with him. And so the young Oswald was forced to carry one around with him. His mother died from an illness not long after, and the remaining Cobblepots were forced into bankruptcy and had to sell the shop.

Oswald resented his poverty and slowly began to drift down the road of the life of a criminal. He stole some paintings from an art gallery, with the aid of his umbrellas and soon joined a gang. Asked what name he would take on, the young Oswald said to call him Penguin. And so one of the most ruthless future gang leaders, thief and murderer was born.
