Catwoman Volume Two
Well finally! I've managed to get a picture of the new Catwoman by Darwyn Cooke and chums. The news from Brubaker is that his Selina will still operate outside of the police force and will continue to want nothing, or little to do with them. We�ll understand about this from the climax of issue 94 for it is the last of the first volume. Where gonna also understand more about Selina Kyle, her past and why she is Catwoman. Were promised that all her origins are gonna be pulled tightly together also. I wanna know though how there gonna handle Selina being �dead� though. Where told that she my be very more like Robin Hood and that its gonna be closely linked to the criminal world. And here is the preview for the Catwoman, all work by Darwyn.

Well, I hope most of you have picked up the new �Trail of the Catwoman� which follows the events of Catwoman #94 the last of volume one.

Just in case you haven�t I�ll give a brief synopsis of the events. Slam Brady has been put on the case of investigating the �death� of Catwoman, by the Mayor. Quite rightly he suspects that she isn't really dead, and wont believe so until he sees a corpse. Slam�s investigations leads him to �Swifty� a former fencer of Selina�s who gives him some information about Selina Kyle the woman Catwoman killed back in New York.

Investigating this lead he learns a little about Selina from an unpublished news report. Discovering some references to previous arrests before her assent into high society. He also discovers that there was no autopsy and real investigation to the body stolen by Catwoman, and passed of as Selina. He also has a run in with the mob Selina crossed during the "I'll Take Manhattan" story. They too don't believe Kyle is dead. And at the end that its not Selina at all. Though the officals wont release this infromation.

Pick this book up. He�s getting close.

You'd better, if you havent already, got the third part of the Detective back-up. Things are getting hot! Batman has warned Sam off the Selina case; he knows she's Catwoman. Pick it up!

In my e-mail account somebody was kind enough to send an interview with Brubaker regarding his take on Catwoman. The new issue 1 will hit the shevles in November.

Yeah look at what the cats dragged in! Finally back online after a much to long absence. Big news? Well, the new volume is finally out! And issue 2 has been released. Expect a much needed reworking of this site. Damn I�ve left it to long!!!!!

Catwoman Movie
So as most of you will know Ashley Judd is to play Catwoman in the long awaited Catwoman film. Well, for those who were expecting a follow on from the Batman Returns film I think you'll be disappointed.

The latest news is that the story will follow the exploits of a young animal stylist called Patience Price. Patience is a lot like the pre-Catwoman Selina from Returns. She�s awkward, but pretty underneath etc. Well, Patience�s mother Constance, was an inventor who invented a gizmo to revolutionise the washing machine. Well unfortunately things didn�t work out and she was killed. Well murdered and her gizmo stolen.

Poor Patience is sent to live with an evil, evil aunt! And finally grows up shy and awkward. She soon discover that her mother may have been murdered by her boss (She�s right) and he has her killed, pushed of the roof. She�s revived in Returns style by cats and becomes Catwoman, a �Robin Hood on PMS� the script is said to read.

The only mention of Selina is a newspaper article, which states the Gotham�s Catwoman is Officially Dead. Of course Patience has her Bruce/Batman love interest in the form of a police officer that loves Patience but is attracted to Catwoman. Also the man that kills her mother fancies her. He�s actually going to demolish a zoo, which houses some cats. This zoo is where the showdown happens (A zoo, just like Returns) and rumour has it that this Catwoman is more like Batman and Robin�s Batgirl.

The script is said to be open and shut for a sequel. Let�s just hope that somehow the script is altered to become either, Selina Kyle Catwoman or a Patience Price with some originality and a decent story. Otherwise were gonna end up with another Batman and Robin on our hands. You can read the Daniel Walters script, which follows Batman Returns. At least this has Selina Kyle in it. Click here
