In corner of a field in Battersea Park, there will be land that will be forever Leopard. It was appropriate that Remembrance Day will go down in the annals of Leopards history as a day to remember and cherish. The combined Allied Forces of Americans, Canadians and British Legions saw off the infidel terrorist tactics of the Scouse-Scottish Axis powers of Demon Eyes.

The first shot was fired within 30 seconds when Dave chipped the Demon keeper from 25 yards to start the most overwhelming of victories. It was a tactical move to maintain Leopards morale and we are now hoping that a scantily-clad Geri Halliwell will perform for the troops soon. The Leopards defended from the front, giving Demon Eyes no space or time to build any useful attacks. After 30 minutes, Ethan, this weekends midfield general struck a majestic free-kick from outside the box that dipped underneath the crossbar to give the Leopards a well-deserved two-goal cushion going in at half-time.

As Demon Eyes tactics grew increasingly desperate, they spent the majority of the game hoofing long balls through the middle to their appropriately-named striker, Tosh. However, it wasnt all safe at the back, with Howard, playing the game of his life, tipping the ball over his own bar on more than one occasion as half-time loomed.

From the off in the second-half, it was obvious that we were floating like butterflies, stinging like bees and playing football like Leopards. The Demon players were trying to hassle the ref to give them any decisions, but the man in black stood firm to their nonsense. A purple patch in the second half saw the Leopards extend their lead with goals from Ethan and Irvin. Irvin did have the grace to admit that his shot was intended as a cross, but it looked like a well-placed sniper shot.

We started to struggle slightly when we had a man down, as Dave was injured in the firing line. However, credit must go to the Leopards midfield and to Rupert who selflessly chased every ball with speed normally unseen in the front line. As the game started to drift, Demon Eyes pulled a goal back that was totally undeserved. As they pressed forward and exploited their numerical advantage, Howard broke their hearts with a memorable one on one save. Not only we were solid in attack, but the defence was very unforgiving. As if to prove a point, we broke to the other end, with a passing move that would have Beckham and Veron drooling and Ricky B, who was only warned once by the ref, slotted home after a cheeky step over by Irvin. It was 5-1 to the Leopards and fear has been struck into the hearts of the other teams in the League.

Victory in the heat battle was ours. It was a day to remember.
