| The History of The Simpsons |
| The Simpsons is a show that has ran for a span for more than 10 years since its first episode released on 17/12/1989. Unlike many other sitcom which had changed its nature since their first release, The Simpsons' plotline remains largely unaffected by worldly events. The consistent background and characters of the show contribute to a sense of a continuing utopia that viewers can always expect to see when they tune in to their favourite show, as a matter of fact, the settings of the show may be so akin to the average American suburbs that viewers in the United States might recognise the setting of the show almost like reality. When Fox Studios decided to stop the production of the show a while ago, it caused public outrage which caused Fox Studios to withdrawl its decisions. Now the show runs on as popular as ever and Fox Studio guarantees that the show will run at least into 2005. The Simpsons has been on for 14 seasons and that amounts to hundreds of episodes.
