As we
have already shown in the former chapters, Esthetics, as well as Ethics are
not definable, or in other
words, are not modern gnosis. In this chapter I shall not treat problems
didactically or pragmatically, but on the point of view of the origins of
Esthetics and Ethics.
First of all we need to show that there are two accepts of the notion of Esthetics. The first accept essentially includes all collections, picture and drawing galleries, all statues or collections of carved gems, all architectonic works (their photos), all musical works (notes and their printed works), all films with theatrical or ballet shows), etc. very many of them have an inestimable value, but all of them are unnatural, handicraft, digital.
The second accept of the Esthetics notion is the natural, alive Esthetics of the living, natural, intrinsic beauty. Esthetics is continuous, is born, lives and dies, but meanwhile others are born, that is everything goes cyclically in time and space. It is analogous. Natural Esthetics manifests itself in birds’ song, in a gazelle’s footstep, in the beauty of a blossomed flower, in raindrops, in horses’ gallop, in the beauty of a young lady who says good-bye to her lover in a railway station.
Of all the described phenomena, there is only one that exceeds all that means a state of euphoria, of bien ętre, of pleasure. It is the orgasm in the act of reproducing. Partners live unforgettable, happy, paradise-beautiful moments that only Nature itself can create. It is the analogous orgasm.
As the orgasm is analogous, we live it, we enjoy it, and yet we cannot express it, we have no language to define it properly. There are many languages, though, to digitally, circumloquatiously, vaguely express what the notion of “orgasm” wished, should be or had to be in fact. Thus, we can give it a name written in capital letters only – either HAPPINESS or BEAUTY. With small letters we shall have the digital “beauty” or the digital “happy”. We shall have then “a beautiful painting”, “a monumental building”, “ a delicious music part”, “a gracious dancer”, “a happy marriage”, “a genial child” etc. But adjectives are digital, they admit negative epithets, such as: ugly, unhappy, grotesque, burlesque, tasteless, lugubrious, gruesome, etc.
In the second half of the 20th century, a greyish wind started to blow over some beings (plants and animals), usually of very big size, such as the oak, some cetacean (whales), anthropoid monkeys (gorillas) who suicide in groups. Seemingly, the cause of these sad events is the diminishing of their virility. It is the same wind that has started to blow over mankind as well. It began to be felt over human birth rate (except for the African continent and a few Asian countries).
The interested ones – ethnographers, ethnologists, sociologists – have pulled the alarm signal. They deliberated and appealed to a “trick”. If young ladies uncovered a part of their bodies, then young men’s attraction to them would grow. However, even if the uncovering went up to indecency, the interest of men went down even more abruptly.
Without benefiting from a competent approval, the male and female youth have started to consume easy drugs (hashish), which, as time passed by, went further on to stronger stupefacient, such as smoking and inhaling opium, coke, and finally the using of psychodysleptics as the heroine, LSD, mescaline, Craig, and other, until the final kingdom of drug addiction with its train of troubles and mischief.
In which way this problem will be solved by competent people, it is the future’s problem. On my humble opinion, I believe that the diminishing of Earth’s inhabitants could stop the scourge of drug addiction.
Another science, to which we cannot formulate a definition (genus proximum + the specific difference), is the Ethics, more precisely the origins and evolution of the Ethics. If at the origins of Esthetics stand “beauty”, “happiness” and the pleasure of the orgasm, at the origins of the Ethics we are in front of an analogous phenomenon, which is birth. If at the origins of Esthetics stand two adult, heterogenous and deconsanguinic partners, at the origins of birth (not of the conception) there are two partners as well – the mother and her baby. Whilst in Esthetics everything goes on the background of a superhuman orgasm, in case of the birth, everything goes on the background of unimaginable pains of the mother and of her baby as well. Immediately after obstetrication (parturition), both mother and baby cry for joy. The mother cries for having succeeded to give birth to a soul; she has a heavenly, angelic cry; the baby, although unconscious, is happy to be free, for having become independent, for being released from its mother’s uterus where it had no room for its movements.
The birth creates a series of obligations and duties to the mother and they will last long time enough, until the baby grows up. In some cases the other parent also brings about his contribution. With people, raising and education are the essential parts of the Ethics. So, Ethics and Esthetics are modern gnosis. The baby learns from its parents (mother) all habits practiced in the family, in society and with human race. The baby will follow its elder siblings in learning how to protect itself, it will learn from its parents, its siblings and friends which habits and bad manners are not allowed and which manners or habits are allowed.
Communities
formed of several collectives demanded a legalisation of their common living. It
was this way that a Babylonian king proceeded – Hammurabi (Hammurapi)
(1728-1686 B. C.), who gave the first Code of living together. Moses followed
(13th century B. C.) who gave the 10 commands. Zoroaster, Buddha,
Confucius etc. followed and they gave moral prescriptions. The Ethics includes
beside moral laws, convictions, conceptions, values, doctrines, duties towards
society, responsibilities, norms, regulations and laws. The essential duty in
Ethics is for the mother to raise her baby.
The
Ethics – the modern gnosis can be perfectly replaced with GOOD, written only
in capital letters. At the same time, the adjective good as its antonym bad are
not modern gnosis but they can be considered ad two different, digital limits
for a few intermediate values. We thus have: desirable, satisfactory,
interesting. It is worth to mention as well: useful, valid, chaste, valiant,
friendly, loved (platonically), right, temperate, etc.
During the last century there were a lot of renewals and new techniques were introduced, new expressions started to be used, some of which are tangent with a part of the Ethics and of the Moral. They are: brainstorming, fiability, sinectica, similarity, investigation, team, inference team, Umwelt, distorts, randamising, etc.
I should believe that these phrases (notions) could be at least partially introduced into Ethics – and if not, then into a meta-Ethics.
