ADVENTURE DIVER

Course overview

The PADI Adventure Diver program provides you the novice diver with a structured, well-supervised means to gain additional experience and improve your diving skills with a PADI Professional. The PADI Adventure Diver training is vital to the success of any PADI Continuing Education Program. There are no classroom sessions associated with the course and various underwater tasks performed on the dives broaden your awareness of the environment and your capabilities as a diver.

How do you become an adventure diver?

Well it couldn't be simpler, you need to be a PADI Open Water or equivalent to be able to start the course, then all you need to do is choose three dives out of the list below, it's that simple:

Altitude

AWARE-Fish Identification

Boat

Deep

Dive Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)

Dry Suit

Drift

Multi-Level

Night

Peak Performance Buoyancy

Search and Recovery

Underwater Naturalist

Underwater Navigator

Underwater Videography

Wreck

Anyone aged 15 or older, and a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent, then you're ready for the Adventure Diver Program. Or, if you are a PADI Junior Open Water Diver or equivalent and between the ages of 12-14, there's the Junior Adventure Diver program.

After successfully completing the course, all you need to do is complete two more adventure dives (which out of the 5 adventure dives in total two must be deep and Navigation) you can then become a PADI Advanced Diver.

In the Advanced Open Water Course you have two options:

  • Advanced Openwater Diver
  • Advanced Plus

Both of these courses give you a taste of what more specialised diving activities have to offer.
