The
Creation of Life
Where did life come from, why is life here and where does God come into the formation and creation of Life?  The Divine Saints have revealed to us the exact science and detailed explaination of Genesis.  Although to a person unfamiliar to Hinduism, the creation process is very hard for ones mind to comprehend because it is a Divine revelation and not easily understood by the human mind.  The most important thing to realize is that God Himself is omnipresent in this Universe.  He is present in a infinite amount of forms and He Himself expands His Divine Presence to create GodForms to carry out the needed job of controlling the various universes.  I will begin by revealing the detailed account of the creation of the Universe as explained in our scriptures.

Universal Forces:
All of the souls along with their karmas, maya (lifeless material energy), and kal (time), all remain within God in an absolutely subtle form and in a dormant state during the maha pralaya or non-existant state of the universe between the dissolution and re-creation of the universe.  At the proper time when the creation period is just right, God activates the souls, time and mayic energies to give "life" to the Universe and planetary systems that have been created.  There are seven subtle phases of evolution which lead up to what we call the creation of the Universe.  The first phase is the existance of endless empty space.  So before anything, even empty space, there are 7 subtle forces that come into being and then the 8th phase is the creation of the Endless Empty Space which of course is necessary for the creation of a Universe which is Maya.  In that endless space, God creates an endless number of pockets of various sizes and they become the base of uncountable sub-universes.  Within that unimaginable space, the ninth phase of maya (vayu) is evolved which created a circular movement in the space itself, like a spinning disk with everything eminating from its central point.  Then all over that space particles begin to evenly emerge.  This is the tenth phase of mayic manifestation (agni).  The particles then annihilate to form hydrogen atoms, this is the eleventh phase known as 'apah.'  Gravity begins to predominate and the structure of uncountable galaxies and their clusters are gradually formed, and after a long time the planetary systems are formed.  This Divine knowledge was revealed to the world by Ved Vyas before 3102 BC, and He revealed this Divine knowledge in the Bhagwatam.  None of the existing theories so far have been able to create such a model of the universe that could accommodate all the features of the known universe.
Creation of a Planetary System:
The Supreme form of God who controls the creation and the function of the entire universe and all the planetary systems within it, is called Maha Vishnu.  When the galaxies begin to assume a normal shape, Maha Vishnu creates a number of celestial spaces in the galaxies and He enters into those spaces and creates Brahma's for each one, who controls the creation of the sun and its planetary system.  So we can understand that Brahma is a Divine expansion and creation by Vishnu and Vishnu is a Divine expansion and creation by the Supreme Lord.  In every planetary system there is one Brahma who is called the Creator because that is His prime role.  Before the earth planet is created, Brahma expands the celestial space and creates celestial abodes of Gods and Goddesses.  Each planetary system with its celestial abodes is called one brahmand.  There are a huge number of brahmandas in one galaxy.  The celestial abodes are not visible to us however because they occupy a  different dimension.

So we now understand that the formation of a planetary system is not a freak coincidence of creation or "Big Bang" but a systematic and controlled formation.
Life Begins:
After the formation of the earth planet, the ozone layer is formed, oceans begin to exist, and the first forms of life appear.  The Upnishads say that the first life that appeared was vegetation.  The soil itself contains the subtle forms of the seeds of all kinds of vegetation, like grass and shrubs, flowers and trees of various species.  Brahma transfers the souls into those seeds and these souls are the lifeforce it'self because we already know that the seeds themselves are Maya, lifeless energy.  Afterwards the vegetation creates its own seeds.  Then the bodies of insects who are dependant on the vegetation are created in a natural progression and Brahma transfers the souls into them as well.  Later on, smaller creatures like fish and birds are formed and then bigger creatures like tigers and horses, Brahma also provides souls for these bodies as well.

The soul is eternal and must have been living in some form prior to this creation before pralaya (non-material existance of the universe).  So when the universe and a planetary system is re-created the souls of previous insects are placed into the bodies of insects again, and the souls of plants are placed into plant bodies again and so on.  He (Brahma) produces all the souls as they were in their previous life.  So, Brahma produces the first pair of all creatures upon the earth and then they multiply themselves.
The Human:
The Human body and Soul is of the Supreme Spiritual Nature.  It is only in the Human body that the Soul can be elevated to reach God.  This is because it is only the Human mind and body that can adapt a spiritual longing to see God in His true form which is of a Human shape.  Although this does not suggest that animals are less Divine than we are, for all souls are Divine and contain the soul of Krishna.  However throughout a souls journey in His or Her numerous lifetimes, a soul can elevate to a higher body, from vegetation to Insect, from insect to animal, from animal to human.  This is the natural order of the soul, to transcend to higher states of existance, ever reaching for Godhead.  However, the Human body is at the top of the list and therefore the next evolution of the Soul is to be born unto the Spiritual Abodes or Heavenly Abodes to dwell with the Saints and ultimatley the Supreme Lord.  This is by far the hardest evolutionary step for many because the human mind is so intelligent in material matters that one becomes so easily attached to material things and the process of Soul evolution for the Human is to become unattached to material things and attracted to Divine things.

The aim of the creation of the universe was to give each soul a chance to realize God by surrendering to Him.  Now that everything was ready, the atmosphere was perfect, the stable earth produced food and comfort and all the lifegiving materials needed to sustain all the lifeforms.  Brahma begins the preliminary preparation for humans and populates the world with a number of Saints who begin to live there and teach the inhabitants the Divine scriptures.   India flourishes with the Divine wealth of the Vedas, Upnishads and Puranas.  The aim of the creation was thus achieved by revealing all the scriptures that showed the true path to God realization.  Now it was up to the people of the world how much they made use of it.
