| Mary Duchane was the first born child of Thomas and Ellen Duchane. We have no information that we can document about Mary. However we do believe that she was married to David P. Pickett. When Mary's brother John died in 1903, the local newspaper detailed the events which led to his death. The article also referred to his brother in law, David P. Pickett that had passed away a month earlier. From this we concluded that John had a sister. In our research of David Pickett we learned that his wife's name was Mary. There are no official records in Marquette County that confirm that Mary Pickett was Mary Duchane. David and Mary Pickett are buried at Park Cemetery in Marquette. Mary is in the Potters Field. David is in a plotted area purchased by the Maccabees's, an organization he belonged to. |
