Gunpowder
Gunpowder originated in China in the 8th century A.D.
Gunpowder has been around so long it is not certain when exactly gunpowder was founded. It did not start to spread to Europe and the rest of the world untill 1831.
Gunpowder was first used in fireworks. Gunpowder is a miture of potassium nitrate, carbon and sulfer. This mixture produced a black powder like mixture. This mixture was put into a cardboard tube and launched into the air where it exploaded producing colorful bursts of light in the sky.
As time went by, new uses for gunpowder were discovered. Uses in the form of dynamite used for numerous things such as construction and the demolition of buildings.
Gunpowder also proved itself useful in weaponry being used in things such as propellant for rockets on naval battleships and inside the shell casings of bullets used in guns all around the world.
By the year 1000 A.D. Gunpowder was in mass use in rockets world wide.
Gunpowder proved very useful in wars during the middle ages where for a long time all they had was bows and arrows, and once gunpowder was  aquired and used in cannons and shrewd guns, the world reached a whole new levelon fighting in wars.
