Cons of gunpowder |
Gunpowder can vary in shape. It can be in a rather coarse powder (the shape it would usually hold when inside the shell of a bullet) or a very fine powder, almost dust. The problem is, no matter what shape the gunpowder may hold, it is still very explosive and even the slightest spark or shock of static electricity can ignite the gunpowder particles. |
Gunpowder, yet it is very strong, is also very unstable and dangerous to handle. Explosions that happend without warning are very common, especially when mining gunpowder. |

When gunpowder grows old, especially in old ammunition, it becomes more and more unstable and is at a greater chance of explosion. Little things such as temperature change, humidity, static electricity, all of these can cause old gunpowder to ignite without warning and expload. |
