On
21st August 2004, Hon. Minister for Land Reforms. and Management Jog Mehar
Shrestha innaugurated the program. The program was jointly organized by
Lions Club of Kathmandu Capital, Leo Club of Kathmandu Capital and the
Rajak Community Development Association. Nepal Red Cross helped the program
technically for Blood Donation. Similarly Ajju
Pathology Lab. helped for the blood grouping program.
The program was organized at Dhobichaur, Chhetrapati, Kathmandu. Senior Lions, local administrative officers, leos and the locals hugely participated in the program. VDG Lion Biswo Ram Gorkhali, DP Leo Saurav Shrestha, DP (325-B) Leo Devendra Manandhar were also present in the program.
A total of 45 pint blood was collected. Similarly arround 125 people, mostly school kids, benefited from the blood grouping program.
Leo Roshan Shrestha was the coordinator for the program.
